Bose Surround Speakers, Black

I have soundbar 300+sub, so decided to complete the set with surround speakers.
Quality is as expected, assembling with the floor stands, easy.
At first day I was a bit disappointed. As many customers share here, the voice coming from speakers was very, very low, almost no difference. Started thinking those are next $418 we spent for nothing…
BUT I have decided to believe and trust the brand (that’s a Bose, it could not be that worse), same as you trust when you buy Mercedes…. Checked here and there, and found the solution (unfortunately not here), and sharing it with you as a New Year Gift ( if you decide to buy me a beer, I would accept 🙂 )
So the solution of low sound coming form your new surround speakers is to install on your phones a Bose Mobile app.
There are few. “Bose Connect” and “Bose Music” will not work with soundbar 300, they do with 500/700.
For soundbar 300 model you need “Bose SoundTouch” app. It works using your home Wi-Fi to connect your phone/app with the soundbar. To prepare your soundbar for connection, press your soundtouch button on your remote, then press and hold 9.
Open the app and follow instructions. It will also check for updates ( I even didn’t know this sound system could get updates, so did it for a first time in 2 years since I bought it. Update took a while, about 15 minutes).
When you are connected, on app under settings you could find “Audio Settings”. There you can adjust the Central Level and your Surround Level, last one is what is bothering you, hit it to 10 🙂 Test your sound now.

I have never given a product 5 stars until now. I bought the Soundbar 500 with the bass module and have owned that now for a few years. The sound was good, but not as good as my KEF LS50W2, which is the top HiFi wireless powered speaker. And then I decided to get the satellite speakers. They are not very powerful. They have no bass, only treble. And played on their own, sound terrible. BUT! I placed them behind me as recommended, left and right. And with the soundbar in front. I played hi definition music from Tidal, and my god, I was brought to tears because the sound was so beautiful. For 3 nights in a row now I sit in the perfect spot in my chair and just listening to a song is an emotional, moving experience.

I added these speakers to my sound touch 300 sound bar and now it’s sounds like a movie theater in my home. It’s worth the cost. Don’t get discouraged if it sounds low. You have to raise the volume in the settings in the sound touch app. It’s the little circle that looks like a gear then press audio settings. It took me a few to figure it out. You can raise the sound bar and the speakers in the same place. I sent pictures so you can see.

Que las dimensiones de los Speakers Surround 5.1 de BOSE no te engañen, sí ya cuentas con alguna barra de sonido BOSE compatible (en mi caso el modelo 900) vas a convertir tu habitación en una auténtica sala de cine, ya que cuentan con una excelente tecnología para exprimir los sonidos ambientales con la mejor calidad de audio; la correcta colocación y altura (dependiendo del área personal) es importante para una mejor experiencia, pero igualmente puedo asegurar que no te arrepentirás de añadir estos Speakers a tu barra de sonido ya que creará una impresionante atmósfera de sonido.

They sound great on movies that have good surround effects encoded. I wish the software had an optional setting to just copy the front sound to the surround speakers for unencoded movies.
They would be very easy to set up except that the speaker wire comes bare on one end. You have to install the included connectors yourself. There is only the butt of the screw to hold onto the top side of the wire as you tighten it down onto the bottom plate. There should at very least be a moving plate between the screw and the wire. This looks very unattractive and seems like it will probably come out at some point and require repair. For the price and the name they should certainly have used preinstalled connectors on the speaker end as they did on the receiver/power adapter end.
Also it seems strange the the power in side of the adapter has a polarized shape but the wire end is not.
