Great product when it comes to 4070

This card replaced a Zotac 3070 and the FPS gains were pretty substantial. I run a 1440p@165hz screen and it reaches that on max settings in almost every game i play(CS2,Valorant,FN etc..) aside for Hogwarts legacy which hovers around 90-100 on max no RT no dlss. about 75 with RT. Tarkov about 125 average. Cyberpunk about 120@max no RT. It definitely Exceeded expectation, runs quietly no noticeable noise, OCing it at +120core/+700mem nets about 7-10 fps and doesn’t exceed 70c. seeing the 4080 amp now only $200 more i kind of wish i went with that model but definitely don’t regret the purchase!

While I have some complaints about the smaller than expected generational improvement with this 4070 Ti over the previous gen, the improvements to DLSS 3 along with the addition of frame generation more than make up for its downfalls.
Firstly, I really enjoy the collectors aspect of this particular model as the Spider-Man themed stickers, bag, backplate, and figurine will make any Spider-Man fan happy. I personally left these items in the box to keep them in collector condition, but the graphics card also comes with your typical accessories such as an 8 pin to 12 pin adapter, and a GPU support stand. The graphics card has an elegant design with smooth corners and rounded edges to make it have a sleeker appearance. The graphics card is also short enough to fit just fine in my Corsair 4000D airflow case even with a front AIO installed. It also only takes up a bit more than two case slots and I can still easily access the other PCIe slots on my motherboard for other expansion cards. Additionally, the GPU support bracket is one of the easiest I have ever used as you just have to loosen the screw and then raise the arm and then tighten it once it is resting against your GPU.
Now, as far as the performance of the GPU goes, it’s a mixed bag. Purely on a raw rasterization standpoint, the performance leap of this GPU is nothing to write home about. Without using DLSS or the new frame generation capabilities, the frame rate increase is insignificant compared to the last gen. The card has about the same performance of a 3080 Ti with better efficiency, but still not fully worth the retail cost on that topic alone, in my opinion. However, things change when you consider its raw Ray Tracing FPS gains which don’t significantly impact performance as much as the older Gen cards. Other features like the 40 series exclusive DLSS 3 and frame generation support are what turn things more in favor of the GPU. With DLSS 3 enabled I can achieve between 110-130 FPS at 3440x1440p resolution in Cyberpunk with ultra settings but with Ray Tracing and Frame Generation turned off, which is impressive over the raw 75-85 FPS when DLSS is disabled. With frame generation toggled on, the FPS boost (still paired with DLSS 3) jumps to a whopping average of 170-180 FPS at the same Ultra settings and no Ray Tracing. However, with Ray Tracing enabled, I still average around 100-110 FPS with both DLSS 3 and Frame Gen enabled and around 80 FPS with frame gen off. I have gotten the same kind of performance gains in other DLSS 3 and frame gen supported games such as Atomic Heart and Hogwarts Legacy. The exception comes with Alan Wake 2 as the limited 12GB of VRAM begins to max out as the game is incredibly demanding even without using Ray Tracing. However, frame generation and DLSS 3 still do a significant job at improving the responsiveness and smoothness of the game, but at lower base frame rates, Alan Wake 2 does suffer from a slight amount of input lag when using frame generation, but I was quickly able to get used to that within an hour of playing and I have left it on since. For all other games with older DLSS 2 or no upscaling support at all, the graphics card is still a powerhouse with almost every game I own running on average between 120-160 FPS at Ultra settings all running at 1440; this includes games such as Borderlands 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, GTA V, and Red Dead Redemption 2 which all offer a phenomenal gaming experience.
For temperature performance, the GPU never got overly hot or had any throttling issues for me. I do have a lot of fans in my case along with high airflow, but the GPU averages between 68-70 degrees in almost every game I run, although I did experience a peak of around 78 degrees in a couple of my more demanding games. The fans are whisper quiet when running to cool the GPU and the fans remain stationary when idle or at a lower utilization.
One of the other standouts with the GPU is the massively improved encoders which have greatly enhanced the experience when I am streaming or recording games. I still rely mostly on NVENC for the services that still have yet to support AV1, which already looks better with less compression than before, but the real winner is the AV1 encoder which can at times have even better visual fidelity and less compression than x264 and NVENC while also having a significantly reduced file size. This is incredibly useful for streaming as it now allows me to set a lower bitrate to make the streams run reliably but without sacrificing the visual quality of the stream itself. So, if you are a content creator, this card has both the best NVENC and AV1 encoding available depending on your preference.
Overall, I really love this graphics card. I initially had significant doubts about the card as most of the benefits come from its improved AI features, but it really is worth it for the most part. My only concern about it is still the limited 12GB of VRAM as a lot of recent games easily utilize it and can cause stuttering and lag in some games but this is rare and uncommon. The frame generation does add input lag to some more demanding games but that is something that is easy to adjust to over time (games with a higher base FPS have less input lag and games that have a lower base FPS have more input lag) and DLSS 3 works better than ever before with less shimmering and more detail as well. Even if you don’t use the AI features, this GPU is still more than powerful enough to handle anything you may use it for whether it’s gaming, video production, streaming, or other GPU-bound tasks. I highly recommend it!

This is quite a beefy card. I swapped my 1080TI Founders Edition and man it absolutely dwarfs the thing in size. I’d highly suggest you make sure it fits your case before buying. However, it’s definitely sized that way for a reason. The cooling is incredible, the performance is the best I’ve ever had, and it hardly makes any noise. I have it paired with a 5600x and I can run most games maxed out at 1440p with ray tracing and I get around 90 fps or above in most games. I’d say that it’s worth it to get it on a sale like I did. I wouldn’t recommend full price but it’s a great card. It also came with a bunch of Spider-Man goodies which I really appreciate.
