Disappointed Reader –
My old iron quit on me unexpectedly, and I went for the old trusted Black+Decker. Works like a charm. Very light, which I also appreciate, and smaller than the average iron – great for smaller hands. Steam function is awesome. Great value for money, too, because it’s hard to find an iron these days for under $20 (at the time of purchase). Great product, highly recommend.

For starters, this order arrived in it’s box within an Amazon packing bag instead of another box which I think is a shipping error. The box that the iron was in was very damaged and opened. I half expected the iron to be broken but it wasn’t. I filled the iron with distilled water even though it says that it can use regular water. My last iron got all kinds of mineral deposits and ended up spitting out brown water because I used regular water in it for years. Lesson learned. This iron comes with a coating, apparently from the manufacturer, on the ironing plate which for the first 4 or so items that you iron, makes it impossible to slide the iron in more than one direction. I was going to return it after ironing my first item but was desperate to iron all my stuff today so I pressed on 🙂 After the 4th or so item, the weird coating seemed to wear/burn off and I was able to iron by moving in all directions smoothly. If you get a little overzealous with your motions, some water might slosh out but this doesn’t happen every time. For a cheap iron, I will be keeping it.

I recently purchased this product, and I am thoroughly impressed! The product exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality is outstanding, and it works exactly as described.
One of the best features is [specific feature], which has made a significant difference in [how it improved your experience]. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design and functionality of this product.
This product is also very user-friendly and easy to set up, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. The instructions were clear, and everything worked seamlessly from the start.
In terms of value for money, this product is definitely worth every penny. It’s durable, well-made, and performs better than similar products I’ve tried in the past.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for [type of product]. It’s a top-notch product that delivers on its promises.

I just wanted a budget friendly iron but one that still had some useful functions. This fit exactly what I needed and it works perfectly. It holds water and can spray, multiple heat settings, tip sensor for shutoff and a long power cord. Only negative I have is if you have water in the tank of the iron it can spill very easily unless it’s standing up straight. I only fill it half way because when ironing water can spill out the front. It’s an inconvenience but the iron still works great. I was using it one night and fell asleep forgetting about it being plugged in. Thank God the auto shutoff worked and I woke up to find it plugged in but ice cold since the timer shut it off automatically.

Nice iron. Lightweight and easy to fill. No adjustable / on off steam so the higher heat settings will always have steam if there’s water in the tank. Works well for the price and heats quickly

I bought this Black & Decker to replace my 11-year Hamilton Beach starter iron that finally failed on me recently. I don’t really need an expensive or fancy iron, so this inexpensive one appealed to me the most.
Off the bat, I wasn’t impressed by the water reservoir. It’s just a hole at the front of the iron. There’s no cover like I’ve seen in other models, and while the max water level is set to keep it from overflowing, I’ve found water still seeping out from the front hole as I used it.
The non-leaking feature was one of the points I bought into, but I confirmed that this still leaks water from who knows where beneath the plate. I ended up just emptying the reservoir because I was getting tired of the water getting onto my shirts.
The heat rises pretty fast with each level of the knob, so I’m ready to iron relatively quick without having to wait for it to warm up like my old one.
Not a fan of the cord management. My old one had a compartment where it could be hidden – this one does not. I guess it comes with the expectation behind the price. It’s not perfect but it’s manageable.
All-in-all, I’m happy with it with the price I’ve paid, but definitely unhappy with the leaking problem.

The auto off feature was my “done deal”. I am more then satisfied. Light weight and works well

“The BLACK+DECKER Easy Steam Compact Iron is a compact iron for a small ironing board. Today, I’ll share my experience with choosing, purchasing, and using it.
The first thing to note is that it’s very lightweight! Because of this, I do have to press down a bit harder, but on the other hand, I feel that ironing has become easier. Seriously, it’s just weightless.
Other things that can (and usually do) annoy are absent here. The cord length is sufficient so I don’t need to plug the iron into an extension cord. The surface heats up quickly, and the temperature is easy to adjust.
A big plus is, of course, the price. The brand is known for its economical models designed for users who don’t need fancy features but want to get their daily tasks done.
I see in the reviews that people mention the iron leaks—this is indeed a common issue with irons in general, but I haven’t had that problem.
The only annoying thing is that to turn it off completely, you need to unplug it. On the other hand, it’s better than worrying about whether I turned the iron off before leaving the house.
My verdict: it’s a top choice for the money.”
