I got this to use as a primary monitor for my work-from-home coding job and I’m loving it so far! The monitor looks great and the text is crisp and clear. It’s wide enough that I can work with two windows side-by-side, which is why I went with 32 inches. I’d never used a curved monitor before but I had no trouble adjusting and I do feel like it makes the size a bit more manageable. The only downside I can think of is that the colors are a bit dull compared to my other monitor, which is an IPS panel, although doesn’t really matter for office work. Overall this monitor is a great value for the money. For coding work I don’t think you’ll find anything much better unless you absolutely must have an ultrawide.

One, this is a BEAST of a monitor. It’s huge and honestly, I’m not complaining. Performance wise it performs well with gaming, office work & general viewing.

Two, the size of it makes it look like you’re working in a theatre. There is plenty of work room for you to have 4 small windows open at the same time to better work flow for working or going to class at home.

Three, graphics wise, it could be better but the picture options compensates well. Again I did buy a monster of a screen already & with the freesync I’m not complaining with the great productivity performance. Additionally the speakers does well enough. I did find that it’s a bit quieter when I’m on teams meetings during the day or generally viewing Netflix/youtube.

Fourth, my gaming experience has no complaints. I didn’t find any flicker or delay. My PS4 pro is connected via HDMI 2.1 and damn, it does deliver. The wide screen ratio makes my gaming worlds so much more immersive and I’m spoiled! Yes there is a gaming version of this monitor so I might look into splurging into that as a second monitor & connect a sound bar for that theatre gaming experience.

Lastly, I’m extremely pleased of this product. I have to say Dell set the bar well for an entry level monitor for your general use in home or office. As I mentioned, I’m thinking on buying another one for that double monitor action for the best workflow while working at home and the best gaming experience I’ve had so far.

Finally, just get one. Yes it has quirks and such, but keep in mind this is just the beginning. Upgrade and research the next monitor for you while enjoying the spoils of what is here.

    Thank you Dell.

I had resisted the whole “curved monitor” craze because a) I’m not a gamer and b) figured it would mess with my brain.

My primary use is for my remote work-from-home office and had been using Dell UltraSharp U3223QE which costs about 3 times what this monitor costs. I had another 32″ monitor that crapped out and had to replace but didn’t feel like dropping another 650 bucks so thought I would give this a shot.

Out of the box, it is so easy to attach the base and set up. You can plug in and test it without completely dismantling the packing materials which is important to me since monitors can be so delicate in transit. I was able to use the cords from my old monitor (power cord and HDMI) so I didn’t even have to unpack the cables provided in the original box.

I’m using an M3 MBP that my company provided and it works flawlessly. Absolutely no flicker. Colors are decent (though out of the box, it looked like it was in “night mode” with a yellow tinge — but was able to find a setting that looked more like a “true white” during the day. The text is clear as can be. The curve is subtle but does seem to draw you in more than the flat screen.

For the money, I never expected to have the quality of a monitor that costs 3x the price but if anything, I prefer this to the more expensive monitor. It is all I can do to swap out the other flat panel to have a matched pair.

Build quality is also very solid. I have had monitors where the stand is built upon a plastic base so that if you “type with purpose” (I use a mechanical keyboard and play piano so definitely have a tendency to pound away!), the whole monitor would wobble which is really annoying and distracting. Not an issue with this monitor AT ALL!

If you have limited funds but want/need a 32″ ultra clear monitor, this is AN EXCELLENT choice.

On a display this large, curved is definitely the way to go. I didn’t have any trouble adapting to it from my old flat Samsung 25.5” monitor. It is brighter with much more detail and good color. I cannot see any bad pixels. I can easily display 3 pages of text side-by-side and full size (11” x 8.5”) since the actual width of the display is 27 3/8”. But there are 3 things to note:

    1. Setup. To prevent damage, Dell wants you to NOT touch the screen. Open the box flat on the floor and remove the stand. Then fold back the protective wrap and slide the stand into its slot on the display back, snap into place, and finally lift the monitor out of the box (picture). Easy!

    2. The Dell manual states this monitor supports HDR color (high dynamic range). It does not – at least not when connected to my brand-new Dell Inspiron 3030 14gen i5 (picture). The colors are beautiful, but no HDR. Just saying.

    3. This Dell monitor supports 3840 x 2160 (60hz) resolution. But not using the included HDMI cable with my Dell Inspiron i5. To get high resolution I had to connect using a DisplayPort cable (not included). I verified this with Dell technical support. Amazon has them cheap. Then everything was plug and play.

    4. The 5W speakers built-into the monitor are actually pretty good. No complaints. They are rated 200hz-16kHz, so not wall-shaking bass.

First 4k monitor and it doesn’t disappoint. This is a well built monitor, pretty good looking. The setup is super easy, and the 4K video I played is really sharp. The build-in speakers are gimmick but I use my own external speakers anyway. Overall I am really happy for this purchase.

Move over, Picasso! Dell has created a near-masterpiece with their S3221QS 32 Inch Curved 4K UHD Monitor. Despite the naysayers, this piece of tech-art has surpassed most expectations, and I’m here to sing its praises from the rooftops—or at least from my incredibly comfortable office chair.

Firstly, let’s talk about the display size. At 32 inches, this monitor is basically a cinema screen for your desk. Who needs movie theaters when you have this beauty? The ultra-thin bezel design ensures that you’re fully immersed in your digital world, whether you’re binge-watching the latest series or, you know, working. The 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) brings every pixel to life with such clarity that you’ll be spotting details you never knew existed.

And the curve? Oh, the curve. With a 1800R screen curvature, it’s like having a personal IMAX screen. The monitor wraps around your vision, making you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action—be it a high-speed car chase or an intense spreadsheet battle. The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are both 178 degrees, so you can admire this beauty from almost any corner of the room.

Your eyes will thank you too! This TÜV-certified gem comes with ComfortView, which reduces harmful blue light emissions and ensures a flicker-free experience. Finally, a monitor that understands our binge-watching needs and protects our eyes at the same time.

Flexibility? This monitor almost had it in spades. Tilt, swivel, and adjust the height to your heart’s content. But wait—pivot? Apparently, that’s where Dell decided to channel their inner illusionist. This monitor doesn’t pivot, despite what the advertising might suggest. It’s like being promised a unicorn and getting a very nice horse instead. A horse is great, but you can’t help but feel a bit let down.

Now, let’s talk about sound. Built-in speakers mean you don’t need to clutter your desk with additional gadgets. And with HDMI and DisplayPort options, hooking up your devices is as seamless as that 4K resolution.

Despite the initial reviews and the unfortunate pivot betrayal, the Dell S3221QS is still a shining star. It’s like the plot twist in a movie where the underdog almost wins but loses a little due to some unexpected foul play. For just $314.99 (a steal with that 13% savings!), you can transform your viewing experience and make your desk the envy of the office. And if you act now, there’s an extra savings Amazon Music offer with this purchase—because who doesn’t need a soundtrack to their monitor’s almost-perfect success story?

So, to all the skeptics: take a step back and witness the glory (and slight imperfection) of the Dell S3221QS. It’s not just a monitor; it’s a near-revolution in pixels and productivity.
