For under $20, this cooler does a very good job of handling low-mid range CPUs. Keeps my 12400f nice and cool even in unideal pc locations, like under my desk. Fits most modern boards so should be an easy pick up if you need some good cooling. Installation was easy and there are videos out there if the manual isn’t the clearest. Fan lights up with 1 5v 3pin ARGB cable and spins with 1 4pin sys fan header so make sure your motherboard has those. Being ARGB you can control the colors and brightness using any rgb software out there.

I installed this cooler on an Asus B560 Plus mainboard with an Intel I5 processor. You can’t argue with the price, and the overall quality seems to be very good as well. The cooler seems to be working well to keep my CPU cool, and it is very quiet. This cooler replaces the original Intel OEM CPU fan that came with the CPU. Using the OEM cooler, the CPU started overheating. I originally installed this cooler where it was incorrectly positioned over the last memory bank, so I repositioned and reinstalled the mounting brackets, positioning the fan facing towards the back of the PC. There is no interference with any of the memory banks. So far so good.

Bottomline up front: looks great, seems well built, but I haven’t had a chance to test it yet.

Needed a CPU thermal solution better than the stock cooler, and this was on sale and very well rated. It also came in white, with RGB, because that’s apparently the Meta right now LOL. I got it on sale during October Prime Days, so it was only like $16 after taxes and free shipping.

This is the 4 heat pipe, 120mm fan unit in white. Unboxing video uploaded, this unit looks and feels like it will work great. Comes with mounting brackets and instructions, but no thermal paste, which is a bummer. The Thermalright Assassin X90 I bought for a different build came with thermal paste. Also, the top cap of the tower in white is plastic, not metal. The Thermalright had a nice, powedercoated top cap. And that unit was a smaller air tower cooler (90mm) and cheaper when comparing non sale prices.

Those are minor nit picks, sure, but other units offer slightly more for the same price. So, -1 star as such, but overall, this looks good so far. Once can get it mounted and tested, I’ll post and update. I suspect it’ll work fine given the number of positive reviews from users stating it works well.

Bottomline: for the price, this seems like a great value, especially on sale.

Over the years I’ve only really purchased the old Hyper 212’s for my CPUs, or the 80mm variety. But the prices on that fluctuate drastically and now we’ve got a range of HSFs that look and work similarly but at much more affordable prices, such as this one.

The build quality is great. I read some people had issues mounting the fan but it’s pretty straightforward and it fit tightly in place, but I’ve had experience with these types of mounts before. The RGBs work great and the fan is quiet. Also, the CPU temperatures are great! I have no issue going with this brand in the future.

While gaming, my 14th gen 14500 Intel processor maxed out at 38c with the fan only running at 53%. While idle, 28c. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I simply cannot hear the fan, even at 100%. This is my first third party CPU cooler, it is definitely worth the price. It also looks great and using the video on here, it was beyond simple to install.

Very nice cooler that matches the aesthetic. Fit my case very well and is very quiet under stress. The RGB is controllable through my motherboard and was pretty easy to install.

I am a professional IT Pro, system builder and enthusiast of 35 years. It is not easy to impress me, yet this affordable cooler exceeded my expectations.

Yes, I read all the reviews and there were some whiners, but I consider them to be buffoons. For starters, this cooler is a perfect replacement for the stock Intel coolers that come with the 12th gen CPUs.

My caution is this cooler is best for 12th gen CPUs, such as Pentium, i3 and i5. I do NOT recommend this ID Cooler model for overclocking or anything more powerful (like i7 or i9)… since this model is NOT made for crazy excessive heat.

Since the review below, ID Cooling has improved the fan retention springs. They now have a crook type hook to lock into the fan frame holes. (see last photo) This will help if you ship your computer, as it resists the G forces of the boxes on the UPS/FedEx conveyer belts.. helping the fans from falling off the grill.

Also if they were to dismount off the aluminum block, remounting is easier because the springs stay on the fan.

Assembly of the cooler is easy. I recommend you READ the directions to understand which parts are to be used and which are extra/alternative. When done, I found the mounting secure and stable. I trust this kind of mount over push pins. Why? When I have shipped computers with push pin fans to clients, several times shipping caused the coolers to come loose while in route.

My 12th gen i3-12100 has four cores, 32 GB G.Skill RAM, Samsung 4th gen 980 Pro 500g SSD, MSI 1700 LGA motherboard with onboard 4 video ports… and nothing more. The case is a clever, well-ventilated aluminum mini-tower made by Rosewill (you can’t buy it any more.) Said case is NOT good for sound buffering, so any FAN installed must be whisper quiet for a work environment like my own.

After adjusting my fans speeds in the bios, the system is now silent. Note: on my first setup, I heard a nagging buzz sound, but this came from an older rear vent fan, which I changed to a 100% silent variety. Then I connected this exhaust fan to the wrong motherboard header, which made it spin too fast. And… plugging in the wrong header for the exhaust fan affected the speed of the ID COOLER fan.. which makes no sense, but it happened regardless.

My CPu temperature testing was done two independent ways. One from the board bios and then once Win 10 Pro was loaded, I downloaded the free CoreTemp program. The first time I tested with this software, I had already MISCONNECTED my exhaust fan to the wrong header. After realizing my mistake, I went into the bios and ran CoreTemp again to reverify fan speeds and temperatures. Both the ID COOLER and exhaust fans slowed down and CPU temps remained low at idle (about 90 F) with fluctuations to 98 F. The attached snapshot shows my idle CPU readings in Win 10 Pro in Celcius.

These are the lowest CPU core readings I have ever seen in a performance computer.

I advise when using this cooler…

To be sure to install at least ONE rear fan blowing exhaust outside the case. Why? The ID Cooler does it job best if you add negative airflow to the case itself. You do this by adding fans… where ONE fan must pull air OUT of the case in the same direction of the ID Cooler fan. And THIS is how my system is set up.

If you add yet more fans, which is a good idea if you have a gaming video card adding system heat, then you add THOSE fans to locations that PULL fresh air INSIDE the computer. Those areas often have dust filters, so that is how you know which area is for IN-DRAFT fans.

In summary, you want air flowing just in ONE direction inside your case.

I’ve been using the ID-COOLING SE-214-XT ARGB WHITE CPU Cooler for a few weeks now, and it’s been fantastic. The installation was straightforward, and it’s compatible with my LGA 1700 setup. The cooling performance is top-notch, keeping my CPU temperatures low even during intense gaming sessions. The addressable RGB lighting adds a beautiful touch to my build, easily syncing with my motherboard. Overall, this cooler offers excellent value for the price and enhances both the performance and aesthetics of my PC. Highly recommended!

TLDR: Great cooler, and imo better than the Thermalright assassin 120 SE (only when it’s under $30). I bought this at $25.99 and it recently went up in price, still decent value and nice aesthetics, really love this cooler – Indepth review below!

    What’s Included:
    Cooler
    ARGB Fan
    AM4 Mounting HW
    Intel 15XX/1200/1700 Mounting HW
    2 Sets of Fan Clips!!!!

    Pros:
    – Nice ARGB fan that’s both quiet and aesthetically pleasing
    – The top part is fully covered so no silver metal showing (unlike the Thermalright assassin 120 SE)
    – Using this on a Ryzen 7 1700 atm, and it cools it without a problem, anything i5 13500/Ryzen 5 7600X and lower should be perfectly fine on a cooler like this.
    – Has a longer 4 PIN PWN Fan cable than most other fans, so it’s easier to plug into a fan header that’s further away
    – It comes with 2 Sets of Fan Clips which is amazing if u wanna add another fan to do a push/pull config for better cooling!

    Cons:
    – Unlike the Thermalright cooler which comes with a tube of thermal paste, this only comes with 1 packet. Not a huge issue, still is a great cooler

    Installation – 5 Stars:
Installation was easy enough, I had no issues understanding the instructions and it was smooth sailing. It comes with all major mounting hardware so no issues with that! Fan clips are easy enough to use and I LOVE that they gave 2 sets of fan clips. I didn’t use it personally but it’s great for others who have extra fans to get a push-pull config!

    Cooling – 5 Stars:
For a budget cooler, cooling is amazing, I Already made a mention above but it cools a Ryzen 7 1700 without a problem, and I would assume any none OC i5/Ryzen 5 and maybe even some newer i7’s (i7 12700f) would be perfectly fine with this cooler! It has around the same performance as say a Thermalright Assassin X 120 SE so it’s good enough for most people out there!

    Overall – 5 Stars:
Love the aesthetic, cooling performance and installation, everything was simple and easy, and I prefer this cooler over the thermalright because of the cleaner all back top cover! One of my top picks for budget builds
