Pros, compact, portable, water resistant, battery last long between charges, sound quality and volume are great for such a small speaker. Easy to set up, attached wristlet, loop to make portability convenient.
Cons, one as of yet, I would like to see a clip added so can be clipped to belt or other things.

I have used this a few times and so far it is great! Nice and small but pretty powerful and loud enough that I can hear my music over the noise of the shower and ventilation fan combined. I personally wouldn’t test the dust/sand proof or waterproof claims- just based on how the product looks and other reviews I read prior to purchasing. I did purchase a protective silicone cover for it and I think it will prevent the speaker from vibrating and falling off a countertop or shelf. I do agree with other reviewers that the sound it makes when you turn it on and off is a bit loud and startling at first. I wish there was a way to disable that noise. Overall seems like a great purchase!

La recomiendo ampliamente, gran fidelidad en el sonido, se siente la calidad de los materiales de fabricación, el tamaño es perfecto para su portabilidad, es perfecta para alguien que se la pasa viajando, ocupa poco espacio.

The good the bad and the ugly:
Good: lightweight, sturdy strap loop to hang and dangle. Impressive quality of sound and fills a room or fills the truck with ease. Easy to hear while bathing. I mostly use for Audible Books while I drive. I just imagine how fun it will be in the winter by the fire with a Audible Book and hot cup of joe. I recommend. Lightweight as a stack of feathers, or so it seems. No wider than a cell phone. Pair two of these speakers for a Stero for probably really Impressive music listening. I’ve not tried that yet..
Bad: not really a bad, although short battery life of 6 hours. That’s it.
Ugly: nothing is ugly about this speaker. It’s got rubber grip on all sides, although th3 loop makes it almost impossible to stand on its edge. Don’t know why you would want to. But, it’s got great texture and does not easily attract fingerprints. Just buy the speaker already! Where Bose failed! JBL picked up the reigns!

I haven’t been able to test the battery life yet as I just got it. But the sound is very good for something that fits in my palm. It is ruggedized with a tough, solid feeling case. Waterproof too. I got the camo version and it looks great.

Sound quality is decent, but it’s a portable speaker and it’s nowhere near as good as my other bluetooth speakers (and they are very very old models). I wish it was a tad louder, but it will get the job done for what I purchased it for. I love that I can get it wet, it looks very well-made and durable, good sound quality for the size, and extremely lightweight and small and portable.

The JBL Go 4 is a great sounding and highly portable Bluetooth ver 5.3 speaker. I have several other Bluetooth speakers, mostly by JBL. This one is very handy to pack with you daily, has good connection properties like distance from your phone or tablet, offers more utility than other choices like the JBL Clip in that it can stand up without support and offers great sound. The Go 4 is fully supported by the JBl Portable App with fully adjustable equalizer or a few pre defined options, and can be paired with another JBL Go or similarly supported JBL speakers. It sounds great on your desk, in the bathroom or out in nature. The small size makes it more in alignment with personal listening and clearly it’s not going to blow out your party like a larger Charge, Xtreme or Boombox model would, all of which are designed for party and group enjoyment.
I tested the Go 4 against an older Clip and found not much difference in sound quality but many more options to use it thanks to the free standing shape and highly portable / pocketable size and convenience to hang like the Clip using your own carabiner hook. Battery life is decent too. The biggest benefit of Go 4 over Clip 5 is $30 less in cost. I believe this little speaker is great.

As an audio enthusiast, I’m always on the hunt for quality sound across various devices, from headphones to Bluetooth speakers.
The JBL Go 4 is an impressive speaker for its compact size. While it’s not the loudest option out there, it doesn’t need to be. Roughly the size of your hand, it still manages to deliver a surprising bass response that you can actually feel when you’re holding it.
One of its handy features is a strap that allows you to easily carry it around. This makes it perfect for leisurely walks in the neighborhood or small gatherings with friends—whether it’s for a card game or just hanging out. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for larger parties, as it’s better suited for more intimate settings. At $50, it offers fantastic bass for its size and is user-friendly and comfortable to transport.
As someone who collects speakers for various occasions, I primarily use the JBL Go 4 during my afternoon walks. It’s particularly enjoyable in the spring and fall, and I look forward to using it more this fall when the weather is just right.
While genres like heavy metal can get a bit distorted at higher volumes, this speaker performs well with audiobooks and softer music genres such as country, pop, and electronic.
I think the blue color is stunning; if you’re considering a color choice, I highly recommend it. This speaker also makes for a great gift for kids—perfect if you want to introduce them to audio products without spending too much, as it’s an affordable option that can withstand a bit of rough handling.
Overall, the JBL Go 4 is a fantastic portable Bluetooth speaker. It may not blow you away with its power, but if you’re looking for something compact that can get reasonably loud for a small gathering of two or three people, it’s a perfect choice.
