Veio bem embalado.

I put this item in a clients computer to replace their old, failing ssd. The SSD is very fast, and has plenty of storage for the average individual. I chose this item for the client because for the price, this SSD is very reliable and I can attest to their durability over years of usage. The SSD connects via SATA. The client is very happy and has had no further issues with their computer while playing games or doing other things since installation of this drive. The price is very good for what you get.

Perfect fit. Very simple to swap out for the old hard drive. Well written, easy to understand instructions and an excellent cloning app make drive swap simple and fast. Computer booted perfectly first time after the clone and swap.
My old 2010 Intel Core I7 Windows 7 laptop now boots in seconds, runs a LOT faster, and uses a lot less power – runs maybe 2x as long on battery,
For about $100, this was way cheaper than a new laptop and a huge boost in performance!
This is one of the more durable solid state drives (rated for more write cycles) from a brand name I trust.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Muito bom, muito rápido

I have a 1TB I bought many years ago when these first released and it has excelled at everything and still registers through Samsung Software 70% productive. This new one is twice the capacity and actually runs above advertised specs a small percentage. And just like the other, firmware updates are a breeze, and this one shows 100% battle ready.
The value now, versus then, is superb; no regrets at this cost whatsoever. I use it as a gaming drive and have turned my 1TB into a development drive. It runs a little warmer than I anticipated, but that’s on me, I bought a pre-built and the cooling is 75% effective at best. Nothing I can do, I will build my own again, this pre-built leaves much to be desired in the cooling department.
It hooked up and registered and I had it running in no time. ParrotOS and Windows 11 Pro read it just fine and it runs Forza, Gears 5, No Man’s Sky, Sims 4, and other demanding games with ease. I’m rocking 64GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7, and a great power supply, so it has everything it needs to push along just fine.
Samsung delivered on these drives. I will, in all likelihood, stick with these for my SSD needs. On a side note, the software registered the other 870 with this updated software versus the old version I was running, but it will not, and does not, read the 970 Pro M.2 I’m pushing as my Parrot drive. I don’t know why the software doesn’t work for a similar device, yes the form factor is different, but having to install two versions of software that are near identical annoys me.
If you want consistent speed, reliability, chill temps, and peace of mind on your investment, Samsung gives all of that here. Perfection. Outright.

It’s fast, reliable, and easy to install.

La velocidad de lectura es de las mejores en este tipo de dispositivos, llevo un año y su rendimiento no ha disminuido en nada, la capacidad de 2tb ayuda en sobremanera a almacenar sin problemas para uso de trabajo o estudio.

Works as a wonderful replacement for the stock hard drive on my old Xbox One X that started to fail. Installation was straight forward following instructions readily available online. Just kicking myself for waiting so long to buy and install the drive. Would not hesitate to buy one again.

I purchased this to update a good running Windows 10 PC with upgraded RAM and a relatively fast quad-core processor being held back by the HDD. Any time a program was opened there was a delay due to the HDD. Windows “task manager” illustrates the HDD vs SSD for a typical large program.
The job was comically easy and the results are a drive that now reads 5-6x and writes 7-8x faster than the HDD (per the Samsung software metrics) with no observed downside (other than the cost and a couple of hours of my time).
I’m not a computer tech and have no special skills or equipment. Here’s how I did it.
1. Prepare
Know how to open a PC and work in it safely. Know the basics. The drive will need power via a power cable and signal to the main board via a SATA cable. I used the power and SATA cables from the original drive, and removed the HDD to “archive” in case of future failure / retrofit (I do not need a 2nd drive for storage). Decide how you intend to mount a smaller 2.5″ drive in place of a 3.5″ original (buy an adapter). Easiest way I found to clone the drive is to buy an aftermarket USB to SATA drive “adapter” cable. This allows the old drive to stay installed as-is while connecting the new SSD via USB to do the drive clone. Know what kind of USB ports your machine has. Mine has USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 to SATA cable is usually not backward compatible.
2. Clone the drive
Download and install the (free) Samsung “Data Migration” software from their website. Make sure when you open this software nothing else is running, and you don’t run anything else while it is running. Connect the USB to SATA cable to the SSD and then plug it into the PCs USB port. The software should detect it. If it does not I have no idea what you would do. Then it’s as simple as picking the source drive, picking the new SSD as the destination drive, and clicking OK. This cloning process can take 4-5 hours easily on even a moderately large drive (1TB). Don’t panic, just let it run. At points it may appear to have not started or not finished but it is likely working fine. At the end, the PC will shut down.
3. Install the drive
With the power off and your hands grounded, open the case and unplug both the power and SATA cables from the old drive. Remove the old drive. Physically mount the new drive. Connect both the power and SATA cables to the new SSD. Power the machine back up.
4. Check function
If you did it correctly, the PC should boot back up, and a lot faster than before. Download and install the (free) Samsung “Magician” software from their website. This has all sorts of neat diagnostic tests to show speed, update firmware, etc.
Rejoice in spending a little bit of money to get a huge performance increase and not needing to go out and buy a new computer.
**UPDATE**
I performed the same upgrade on an older but still very good laptop computer than has very similar issues and results. It was even easier than the desktop PC as the original 2.5″ HDD was the exact same physical size. I couldn’t be happier with the performance and ease of this upgrade. The computer boots up in seconds. It runs quietly and cool. Every function works perfectly and noticeably (a lot) faster. This appears to be the best performance upgrade you can give an older computer with an OE HDD.
Tudo ótimo –
Muito bom, chegou dentro do prazo e realmente deu uma baita diferença no meu notebook, pois ele é muito rápido. Quando você pensa em ligar ele já liga. A leitura e gravação deste SSD é surreal de rápido.
