I’ve always had great luck with TP Link and use this brand for everything in my network. This adapter had excellent signal strength and worked perfect under Windows. Linux, no luck. I’m using Mint 21.3 and Linux kernel 5.15 and tried many, many drivers. Most worked and would show very good signal strength but very little data transfer, if any. It was like there was no internet at all. I sought advice on many Linux forums, since I am no expert, and nothing helped. Unfortunately I bought this specifically for a Linux computer.
It is a great little adapter and works great overall, it just wasn’t very Linux friendly in my experience. I am going to keep it for a spare and it is faster then the internal adapter in my girlfriend’s laptop. If any other Linux users have better luck than I did I hope they leave a review with advice, I tried everything with no luck.

I had some wireless extensions initially, but none worked I purchased ASUS, because of the name, it did work efficiently, later I found this gem. At half the cost, it performs amazingly. My son’s laptop was not able to work the AX WiFi 6. Very bad connection and very laggy. He was getting hardly, 10 mbps. But with this, the laptop gets the full range of 150 mbps. After that I got a new custom desktop, but it’s Wi-Fi is really bad. Same story. Could not get more than 20 mbps download. I bought a second one to boost, even though due to its location, I still cannot get 150 mps, but I do get a decent 130 Mbps. Upload speed also is good at 4?? bps, which claimed by the provider.
Worth the money.

I bought my son a cheap computer that didn’t have a WiFi drive. (A first for me) This was cheap enough for my budget to get a tech savvy 7 year old online. I hoped it would work. I plugged it in and didn’t even need to use the included disk. It instantly connected. Today is the first day using it and he has lost connection once. (He probably hit it) I pulled it out, pushed it back in, and he was instantly back online. This is a great item at a great price. I am thankful these exist because I don’t want to run a cable through my house and I wanted him off my computer! Great little item!

Bought this for a older desktop running Win7, could of been a easy install but my disc drive didnt work lol so i had to go to the website and download the driver, my new desktop is about 30ft away and signal is about 2 out of 3 signal bars.. also its so tiny you dont know its there 👍🏽
