Chuck D –
It ought to say a lot that the *very* first thing I’m doing with these newly-installed monitors is hopping on Amazon to give them a crap review. The monitors themselves are nice and, so far, the display is decent. However, my ire comes from the fact that the power cables are a perfect trifecta of cheap garbage.
First, they’re ~5′ long. So, unless you have a very large (more on this in a sec) power strip on your desk, good luck getting power to them. Even better luck trying to do cable management. I wanted to route my cables through the monitor stand to keep everything nice and tidy, but with the 5′ cables, that’s a pipe dream. I now have ugly cables dangling in space because the cords aren’t long enough to route through cable management. Bravo, ViewSonic. Bra*vo.*
Why am I complaining about the power cord, you may ask, when I could just swap it out for a longer one?
This brings me to my second point in the trifecta of garbage. The power cables are proprietary; you simply can’t replace them with longer ones. Period. PC and peripherals have run the C13/C14 power cable since the beginning of time. In fact, they’re so common, they’re literally called the “Universal Power Cord.” So, one would assume they’d be used on these monitors, right? Wrong.
Then, as the cherry on top of this putrefied pile of power trash, the proprietary power cable terminates into a proprietary and *ENORMOUS* wall wart transformer. You will *not* plug 2 of these into a regular wall outlet. You *will* require some creative thinking and/or an equally enormous power strip.
Super super frustrating. ViewSonic cheaped out on a very minor thing, boned the customer, and probably saved a half a cent per unit.
I will not be returning these, but I would not buy them again and would not recommend them to you.

This was my first VA panel and I was impressed by the depth of the blacks compared to the IPS gaming monitor it’s situated next to.
Pros:
– Light weight
– Thin bezel
– Very nice blacks and contrast
– VESA compatible
– Very budget friendly for a 27″ 1440p monitor
Cons:
– The control “knob” on the back of the panel is a little unintuitive to use, but not the worst. Feels a bit like a worn-in N64 controller analog stick.
– Not great for gaming due to low refresh rate and ghosting, but it’s a budget VA panel. Everything has a tradeoff. I didn’t expect it to be a gaming monitor and I’m not knocking the rating for it not performing like a gaming monitor, just something to be aware of if you’re considering purchasing one.

It’s fine, functional, does what it’s supposed to, but it is a sub-$200 1440p monitor for a reason: it’s not a spectacular display. Colors seem ok. Sharpness is visibly sub-par even for basic office tasks. Usable but not particularly impressive.
Techfan –
Bastante bien, buenos colores, una opción de protección contra luz azul en la configuración, buen tamaño, aunque la base es bastante grande y quita espacio, recomendable usar un soporte tipo brazo o a la pared para no tenerlo tan cerca. La calidad es buena.

My company has an office and we have some team members who need something that is better on their neck rather than just working off of a laptop. This has been a great monitor to not only help with neck issues, but to easily use two screens at the same time which has improved our productivity. Overall, this has been a really good product and we haven’t had any issues. It’s not too big and not too small. It’s just a good medium sized monitor.
Gamer –
Wonderful monitor. Looks great and very easy to use as far as adjusting the settings. Did not take long to setup and start using it.

I purchased a ViewSonic 27″ monitor similar to this 5 years ago. The base was flimsy and always awkward to adjust. Then I bumped it from the back and tipped it over, breaking the screen as it fell flat on my desk. This new monitor has a much more sturdy base. It was easy to put together and I can tip the angle of the monitor more easily than the old one. It is brand new to me…but my first impression is very favorable.
Amazon Customer –
I’m super happy with this Viewsonic monitor! I’ve always been a fan of Viewsonic (I’m a former graphic designer) and this one did not disappoint. Colour matching was not of importance to me since I’m not working as a designer anymore. However, for doing daily things (email, watching videos, social media, etc.) the monitor is excellent. It has a nice, clear screen with button adjustments on the bottom, rear right. It was also pretty easy to assemble the base to the screen. So, if you’re looking for a monitor that is economical, but still of quality, I recommend this one.

Great monitor at a very fair price, on sale. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, and this 27 inch monitor was a needed replacement for my 22 inch Viewsonic monitor (VA2212) that I’ve had for the last 10 years or so. Simple HDMI connection and setup with acceptible, built-in audio speakers (I still prefer my set of cheap Logitech speakers). And the monitor is only about 1″ higher and 4″ wider than the one it replaces, due to its very thin bezel.

This is a pretty good monitor, the picture is pretty clear, and it is decently bright. The amount of ports it has is kind of limited. The menu navigation is understandable and decent as well. My only complaint is that the included stand is not useful. it is not adjustable, and it doesn’t even use the vesa mount that is available on the screen. In my implementation I put this on a dual monitor stand, so this is not an issue for me.
