Got this for half off, so I have no complaints whatsoever.

I needed this to rebuild my media center PC that I use for all my computer content, video files, etc, to my TV and projector. I couldn’t upgrade what I had to windows 11 since it was a 6 year old system, running an older Asus ROG Strix motherboard and an older AMD Ryzen processor.

Got the new board, new CPU here, new RAM, threw it all in, and was up and running in no time. I like the speed boost compared to what I had, and the fact that I could now upgrade to Windows 11.

Runs fine, works well with the water cooling system I’ve been using with the older CPU. No issues at all, and for the price, it was a steal. I don’t do gaming on this, I have a new 2024 laptop that is my gaming system, so all I wanted here was a reliable system for watching movies from my NAS and the onboard drives, and this delivered.

    **Recensione dell’AMD Ryzen 7 5700X**

    ### Specifiche Tecniche
    – **Architettura**: Zen 3 (7 nm)
    – **Core/Thread**: 8 core / 16 thread
    – **Frequenza base**: 3.4 GHz
    – **Frequenza boost**: Fino a 4.6 GHz
    – **Cache**: 32 MB L3
    – **TDP**: 65W

    ### Prestazioni

Coming from a 3300X to the 5700X has been very good. I find a lot less stuttering in games and multitasking, and a nice performance boost all around. Probably the best price to performance you’ll find on AM4 in 2024.

When i first got the PCU i had installed it without properly updating BIOS and it locked up the booting system so i had to take it to geek squad to get reset. Kinda a pain but its worth it in the end. If you are looking to play demanding games like COD or Grayzone Warfare this PCU is a must. I got the Thermalright Assassin Spirt with it and its so smooth compared to the Ryzen 5 series i had prior. At $160 on sale you would be an idiot not to invest in this CPU as these as they go for over $350 retail. Highly recommend if you are trying to budget build but still want a strong gaming computer. Also note that i am running an RTX 3060 12gb GPU which you can also find at a great price right now. One thing you will need is a 80+Gold 750W PSU to power this PCU and cooler. If not you will run into very harsh processing latency. Good luck!

I bought this CPU for an upgrade to my home server, which was using a Ryzen 3900x from my main build.

I ended up going with the Ryzen 7 5700x because it has 8c/16t which is adequate for my home lab use cases and it supports ECC DDR4; I have this paired with 64 GB of Kingston ECC UDIMM DDR4. At $160 (with the interest free Amazon payments), this was a much cheaper option than buying a second Ryzen 9 5900x for this machine. The IPC gains over Zen 2 are noticeable and it performs very well in my home lab use cases. I’ve been using this with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Windows 11 Pro without issues for the past month or so I’ve had it.

I recommend this CPU if youre looking for a cheap in socket upgrade from a prior AM4 Ryzen CPU or if you’re looking to build a new budget gaming PC. As I mentioned in my 5900x review, now is a great time to scoop up deals on the 5000 series CPUs along with cheap AM4 motherboards and PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage.

Overall, this CPU performs as I would expect it to, is a solid value at ~$160 and it does really well in my home lab use cases. 5/5!
