Easy to setup and no issues so far. Bought 2 more. The small keyboard thing is worthless but I just used the remote.

Excellent picture, very fast loading, easy to set up, however the box freezes once a while, displaying a solid green screen, this requires removed power plug to restore a normal operation, this is very disappointing. Also, occasionally the box jumps out on its own from YouTube stream; I am trying to use as this condition in couple more days and if the problem get worse I have to return the box.

I just set these (2) up and so far so good. The previous boxes were lagging. The picture is clear and the streaming is good🤞🏾. Hopefully is stays this way during Football🏈 season.

Excellent service support resolved issue to my complete satisfaction, contacted me on their own itiative after learning of my concern.

The x88pro has terrible network connections. With a VPN running this device does good to get 10mbs download on a solid 100 Meg service.
The gui is difficult to navigate.

Most of these tiny form factor TV boxes have one problem in common. Heat. Due to how powerful some of these boxes are, they tend to generate a lot of heat. This would eventually cause the player to be sluggish or freeze. This player is no exception. Now I’ve learned over the years on how to mitigate these issues by doing several things. Make sure the box is in a well ventilated area. If you put the box in a drawer or in a tight space, the box will overheat.
In my case, I got a 120mm USB powered fan that I place the box right on top of. This helps a ton in dissipating the heat. I also took the liberty to open up the player and installed some small heat sinks onto some of the components on the PCB such as the ram modules. Doing both of these mods, allows the player to perfect perfectly without issue. I’ve tested the player running a full day of playing 1080p content non-stop without encountering any issues.
Some may think “why do I have to go through all of this trouble when I can just get a player that works”. While this is true to a certain extent, most of those “just works” players also cost a lot more. Take the Apple TV or Nvidia Shield TV for example. Both players are excellent but cost 3x-6x more than this player. So at the end of the day, it’s all about perspective. I didn’t mind doing the inexpensive mods to get a nice working player that has less limitations than the players mentioned above.
