This USB 3.0 wifi card by BrosTrend is very slick looking. It really looks like some sort of alien craft. Setup is not as easy as other ethernet adapters I’ve had in the past. A PC will see this as a ‘disc’ when you first plug it in. It asks what you want to do with the disc. Just click install. Once I did this I couldn’t find the AX8 on my system. I then disabled my internal wifi card (AC 8265) in device manager and still no luck. It wasn’t until I rebooted my machine that I could use the card. It was probably there but I was looking for the 6E ghtz connection option. I could see 2.4 and 5 but no 6E? That third band is not supported with Windows 10. My bad.
This will be of little benefit to you unless you’re running Windows 11. The 6ghtz band that’s advertised isn’t compatible with Windows 10. It says so in the description, but it’s on the very last line. No worries, I can keep it for when I do get a Win11 machine. Is it totally useless on a Win10 machine? Not at all. It works just about as good as my internal card the AC-8265 which costs only a few bucks compared to this snazzy sci-fi looking card.
Bottom line, if you have a newer router that puts out 6E wifi and you have a Windows 11 computer that needs a boosted wifi card then this would be a great choice. Us lowly Win10 users will just have to suffer a little longer.

in an environment far from perfect, this wifi usb adapter provides me with enough speed to complete any task I run on my PC (web browsing, video streaming, gaming, etc) without any issues. not only it is fast but also reliable with no glitches for an uninterrupted experience. I’ve used other wifi usb adapters in the past but none as easy to connect and as reliable with fast speeds as this one.

I really wanted this to improve my connection speed after installing. 2.0 Gbps (2,000 Mbps) upload/download Fiber service .
I have a fiber modem tested at 2.0 Gbps speed.
I have a TPlink WiFi 6E mesh
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7772 touchscreen with 2x USB 3.0 ports suitable for this USB WIFI dongle.
The description claims that the dongle is capable of over 2 Gbps (2,000 Mbps) speeds yet the fastest that I can get out of this thing has been about 300 Mbps up and down.
I can get an average of 1.4Gbps in my phone wifi but this dongle will NOT go over 300 Mbps on the laptop, regardless of what settings I change.
If it wasn’t such a cheap unit I would have returned it by now .
Don’t waste your money.

Worked perfectly out of the box. Driver right on the device itself and installation starts automatically. Much faster than failing WiFi adapter built into my Dell laptop. I’ve had a number of WiFi adapters fail on Dell laptops.
