This is my fifth purchase of this little gem. Three of the first four are still working great and were purchased during the pandemic. Superior motion detection which makes it perfect for night time use when you don’t want to turn on a light. Seems to clean the air nicely in smaller rooms. Highly recommend it.

I was going to send this item back. It was too big for the area I purchased it for originally and it was NOISY as all get out!!! But just before I was going to mail it back the air purifier-odor eliminator in the kitchen quit. I plugged this one in. It fit well, has a great motion detection night light, and it eliminates kitchen cooking odors in an acceptable amount of time. The noisiness of it is still off-putting but since it’s in the kitchen and it’s usually only on at night, it’s acceptable.

The unit works okay as far as cycling the air and eliminating odors. However, the fan noise is very loud, and it doesn’t automatically shut off after the 1-hour idle time (no sensor detections) as indicated in the directions. I tried both modes (auto-off and always on) and the unit did not shut off on either setting, even if I leave it undisturbed overnight. I decided to just turn it off manually and on as needed. The 3 levels of brightness on the night light are nice features. But, with manually turning on/off the unit, there’s no sensor to turn the light on automatically.

I like that it works at cleaning the air of odor. It is small, plugs into wall outlets, and the price is affordable. It could be more quiet but I have a quiet more expensive and bigger purifier that in my opinion doesn’t work. Considering this, the slight noise is not a big deal. I simply let it run in a room that I’m not occupying (I’m over sensitive to little things so it’s probably not bad at all).

I’m still trying to figure these out because it seems as though the air flow is constantly on even though I tried to set it to come on automatically when movement is detected. Still on after an hour passed but it shouldn’t be on.
The light sensor in my opinion should turn off when light is detected not when movement is detected. Example, light comes on when stepping in bathroom and the overhead light is on and stays on for 5 minutes. Should be the opposite: light on after turning bathroom light off.
The fan is audible and can be heard until it becomes white noise. It does neutralize the air that’s about the only thing I really appreciate.

This Homedics Total Clean device is compact & effective in my small bathroom by circulating air that feels clean & pure. Also, it has a 2-setting nightlight which is useful. Glad I bought it.
