This is the first tablet I’ve ever owned, and I bought it primarily for reading comics/manga and textbooks for my mathematics degree, and potentially for taking notes with the included pen. For a quick review, it checks all those boxes just fine, and if you’re just looking to read some pdfs and surf the internet, it’s perfectly capable. I’ll go into some more specifics now of pros/cons of the device.
Pros:
The price is great. I bought one on Prime Day for $162 (tax included) and, considering what I would be spending on textbooks otherwise and the space it saves on my shelves, I think that’s pretty much a steal. In retrospect I probably should’ve bought the 8Gb model instead since it’s a pretty modest price increase for better performance, but again my interests with the tablet are pretty minimal so it’s not a big deal.
It’s an android tablet. This means you can “sideload” apps and install free and open source software on it which is a huge plus. Often, you don’t have to nickle-and-dime yourself for apps because of the great alternative store F-Droid you can install on android devices to get free applications. The killer app here for me is Kotatsu; it allows you to read fan-translated manga and comics for free, and the app searches around 50-100 different databases to find what you’re looking for. I also have been pretty happy with the free note-taking app Saber that’s also available on F-Droid. You have a lot more freedom with how you use the tablet using android than with Apple devices.
The battery life is pretty good. I used it during an entire 10-hour work shift, putting it down occasionally to talk to coworkers or do other tasks, and as long as you press the power button to sleep it I didn’t witness any massive battery drain while sleeping. If you aren’t keeping it on max brightness and awake for hours you won’t have any problems.
The tablet charges decently fast. I don’t use the included charger because it’s a USB-A to USB-C cable and I don’t believe these are capable of faster charging speeds; instead I use a Samsung Super Fast Charger I bought on Amazon that’s USB-C to USB-C and it charges fast enough that I’m not bothered by waiting (the device registers as “Flash Charging”). I’m estimating it probably takes about 1:30 to 2:30 hours to charge to full from empty using my Samsung charger.
It has a camera. I don’t have any interest in using it though so I can’t really be bothered to test it out, but I just wanted to mention that there is a camera included.
Cons:
The tablet comes with a bunch of garbage pre-installed. I had to manually go through the app list and uninstall a bunch of trash applications like matching games and other nonsense that I don’t want anywhere near my tablet. I think this actually improved performance once I uninstalled all of these too. When you go through the first-time setup, it asks you if you want to install these garbage applications with some of them impossible to unselect; once the installation finishes, regardless of what you picked, it installs even more without asking you for verification. I bet this is how they subsidize cost for their tablet, but I think I would’ve rather paid more than have this stuff preinstalled straight out of the box.
The tablet is a little laggy. If you’re pulling down the top menu the framerate drops a little bit, and it can be a bit sluggish drawing in apps like ibis. For reading this isn’t an issue though, and I bet if you buy the slightly more expensive 8Gb model this would be much less of an issue than with the 4Gb.
The storage is rather minimal, but there is a microSD card slot included in the device, so you can slap in as much additional storage as you want, whenever it becomes an issue that you’ll hit the maximum storage space. Since I’ve heard the camera isn’t great, and I think this is one of the things that takes the most space besides games which this device isn’t really for, I don’t think having 64Gb of space is a massive downside.
Conclusion:
I think that if you’re looking for a tablet for multimedia stuff including games, then this is probably more like a 3 star tablet. For me though, thinking of this purely as a reading device, it’s a 4 star device. If it was a little less laggy or didn’t preinstall software I don’t want out of the box, then this would be a 5 star device for reading and web browsing at its price range.

When I was looking to buy a tablet, I felt a bit overwhelmed because I’m not too savvy on the technology and technical specs. I have a Lenovo laptop and it works great. I first got introduced to Lenovo through my office because all their laptops are Lenovo. Got this on Prime Day for $165. It works great for my needs. I do a bit of browsing, have all my apps on it. But I especially love the handwriting notes feature and the convert to text feature in the Nebo app. The MyScript Calculator 2 is amazing as well and well suited for students doing math. Overall a great buy.

Funciona y cumple con lo indicado. Muy bien.
Satisfied –
Everything excellent. Uninstall the bloatware and your a happy camper.I wish pen had quick button for erasing function and I wish pen was a bit heavier. If screen protector came with it I’d give 6 star. It is high quality. Case is nice too. The pen writes great.

It is way better than I expected, my old fire tablet was getting pretty old and not keeping up with my Bible softwares updates. Didn’t expect this thing to be so good and so versatile for the price. Did som art stuff on it with my nephew and now he is getting one for his birthday because he had so much fun. It is fast and works very well. I got the package with the case and pen and absolutely love it. It has software that lets you use it as a second monitor for your laptop and the pen works very well. The screen is a good size, I was afraid it would feel to big going from an 8″ tablet. It was very easy to set up and the battery feels like it lasts forever.
Got super early and in pristine condition (sealed and brand new), came with a spare adapter in a different length and has been working perfectly for over 2months now. –
Been using for a month now with no issues, charges very fast and the type c chargers is compatible with most of my other devices.
The face recognition software is not so accurate asides from that everything is as advertised. Great sound, good display and ease of use.
Would recommend as a budget tablet if you aren’t willing to spend a bit more.
Spoiler: the pen that comes with is actually double A Battery powered so don’t expect a charging pen however I’ve been using the battery that came along with the pen for over a month now with no issue and in a way it’s even better cause I don’t have to charge constantly.

It was the best choice at this price. It works great. The pen is also great. However, I charged it 2 days ago and I didn’t use it until today. It was on during these 2 days and today the battery was reduced to 6% !! Is it natural??
I will update my comment if I notice other points.

Pros:
Good battery life
Decent internal storage ~75GB free of 128GB with Google Earth, Pokemon Go, and about 20 basic apps installed
Provided stylus is well made, feels good in my hand, and stows nicely in the folio
The screen is plenty bright with lots of contrast and great resolution
Cons:
Middle of the road processor and 4MB of system memory limits useability with some apps like games
Heavier than I would like (although my wife’s 10th gen iPad is almost exactly the same weight)
Folio that came with the tablet flops around when folded behind in portrait mode. I wish it had built-in magnets to keep it in place
Facial recognition doesn’t work well for me in low light indoors
I think the tablet is great for routine tablet activities like web browsing, watching movies/videos, and some light gaming. I’d recommend springing the extra cash for the 128MB version if you intend on installing many apps, otherwise you’re going to spend a lot of time playing “musical apps”, deleting apps to make room for new ones.
Amazon Customer –
This tablet is very nice. It is a nice size, has vivid picture and the pen and the case is an added bonus.

It refuses to connect or stay connected by Bluetooth. It’s counter intuitive. It’s typical Lenovo, everything I have bought from Lenovo has been garbage and this is no exception. I should have known better. Never again. What a piece of junk. Stupid thing doesn’t even have a back button, and you can’t simply close an app. Doesn’t work anything like the rest of my Android devices, doesn’t even connect to them. Has no cellular capability, and won’t stay connected via Bluetooth.
