Logitech POP ICON Keys Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard, Comfortable Typing, Programmable Keys, Easy-Switch Between up to 3 Devices, for Laptop, Tablet, PC – Graphite and White

I’ve been a fan of compact sets of keyboards and mice for a while now, and this is the highest quality (and most expensive) mini set I’ve tried. I was curious what you get for the extra cost over the lower tier version I have owned and used in the past.

Logitech quality is really there, with solid build on the keyboard and mouse. They claim years of life out of the batteries (which are fortunately included), but of course I can’t comment on that in such a short timeframe. What I HAVE observed is that connectivity after not using for a while does work very quickly…I have had other keyboards which conserve energy by powering down, and when starting to use again they take a noticeable amount of time to reconnect and get working again…no such issue with this Logitech.

Using this on Windows system, the layout worked as expected. There was a bit of a learning curve to adjust to the key spacing (they are laid out as though the top of a regular keyboard…hard to explain, but a couple of hours of use let me adjust to using).

So you get solid design, connectivity, performance, and supposedly battery life. How about drawbacks?

First off, these are hefty…in all my mini keyboards, except for a compact mechanical, this is by far the heaviest. It feels solid, but I also really feel it when I pack it in my laptop bag!

The mouse is a bit of an odd shape for me with its highest point being at the rear of the mouse. This just isn’t as comfortable for my usage (typically a claw grip). Shifting to the wheel, it boasts a ‘Smartwheel’ that sort of seems to try to emulate the free-spin vs. clicky-spin experience that some mice have let you toggle between…it sort of works, but just not that well for me. A quick scroll of the mouse gives it a little momentum to keep scrolling, but I find it to be an unpredictable amount, different depending on scrolling up or down, and I still haven’t figured out how to stop it like I could with a free-spinning scroll wheel. I feel this part of the design needs some iteration.

So this is a nice quality set, but does have some drawbacks depending on what you’re looking for. The price is higher than I typically want to pay for what has largely become a commoditized set of items to type and maneuver, but it does offer a pretty significant jump in quality at the same time.

Great keyboard! The Logitech keyboard is comfortable, responsive, and the perfect addition to my workspace. The keys are quiet but provide a satisfying tactile feel, and the battery life is impressive. Setup was easy, and it’s compatible with multiple devices. Highly recommend for both work and everyday use!
