I was not familiar with Powerowl previously. I ordered the 8 pack and 8 battery charger package. They arrived during below freezing temps on a Wednesday. I waited for them to become room temp, then put them in the charger. One battery would not charge, (flashing red). I changed positions in the charger still flashing red. I reached out to customer service on Sunday to see if they would replace it. I received a response early Tuesday. The representative said she is sending a whole package, (8). I received those on Wednesday. They charged up just fine. I am using them in a portable radio an emergency light and a couple of flash lights. All so far are working well. I had no problem with fit. Time will tell in regard to longevity. But I am extremely impressed with the customer support. I do plan to order more in time.

I read all the reviews on these batteries before purchasing. I bought them to use in a trail camera that gets a lot of activity at night. The camera records in 30 second increments with 5 seconds between recordings. These batteries typically last around two weeks. I bought a second set after seeing how well the first set did, that way one set is in the camera while the second set is on the charger. I read some reviews complaining about the batteries never charging or the lights not changing. I had the same experience but that was because I had the batteries switched so you definitely have to make sure you put them in the charger the right way.

Ok the charger itself is worth the price, it’s a great charger that charges each battery individually so you can mix and match the batteries in it without harming the batteries or the charger. The batteries that worked, work great, but 3 of the batteries were dead after only a couple of uses. Sadly, this has been the case every time I buy rechargeable batteries on Amazon, whether Amazon brand or another. I’ve just thrown up my hands. The charge is good and strong, I use them in little battery lanterns and can use them for 2 nights (in summer, leaving them on all night) before I have to recharge. In winter when it’s dark longer it might need a charge after every use. The charger is SLOW, it takes all day or all night to charge, however the research I did suggests that slow chargers are better than fast ones, tho I can’t remember the reason why. Overall, I’m very pleased with the charger, and with the batteries that weren’t dead within a few uses.

I bought these because I have a Wii U, and I would much rather trust rechargeable batteries than the rechargable Wii remote batteries. These have been very useful to me. So far they hold good charge, recharge well, and the base is about as good as it gets.

I have had them a few months now, and they still work as well as the day I got them. Good product overall

I use this charger and batteries to power Virtual Reality controllers (see update) without having to waste non-rechargeable batteries all the time.

I haven’t specifically measured it or anything but these batteries feel like they hold a charge either a little longer than or at least about equal to any normal name-brand batteries I’ve used which is a bonus too.

The charger itself is good quality and I love that it stops charging the batteries when they are done and that you don’t have to put in a specific amount of batteries in for it to charge them.

    Update:
I have found a potential issue with using these batteries for my specific purpose of powering Virtual Reality controllers. I’ve seen it reported by multiple people online that some VR controllers may have strange issues happen with them when they are powered by 1.2v batteries (which is what these batteries are). And instead will not have issues when powered by 1.5v batteries.

My headset is the Windows Mixed Reality Samsung Odyssey. The issues that I have include sporadic movement when the left controller goes out of direct view of the headset’s cameras (seemingly only in VRChat, video attached,) and false inputs on the left controller’s touch pad. -EDIT: (actually turned out to be coming from the left joystick but somehow effecting the touchpad controls.)

Just to note, I’ve had some of these issues with all previous batteries I’ve used as well which I assume were also 1.2v, but I didn’t know they might be caused by battery voltage. I’ll be trying 1.5v batteries soon to see if it fixes these problems and I’ll make another update.

Also, this is not an issue with this product and I won’t retract my initial rating at all! It’s simply information I didn’t know about using 1.2v vs 1.5v batteries for my specific use, which might be helpful if you are experiencing the same problems with VR and don’t know the cause.

    Update:
I tried 1.5v batteries and while they seemed to have some minimal effect, they were not able to remove or even reduce the issues to an acceptable level.

I returned the 1.5v batteries as they were not able to be charged in this charger anyway, and just changed my controller setup in OVR Advanced Settings to disable input from the left controller’s joystick and bound movement controls to the touchpad instead.

I bought these because I was tired of replacing the batteries in my bluetooth keyboard. The charges don’t last as long as standard long-life batteries, but that’s ok because I only need two of them at a time, and there are always more on the charger that are ready to replace the old ones, so I never need to buy expensive single-use batteries for it. I would love them more if they lasted a bit longer, but for my purposes they do just fine and have saved me money.

This comes with eight batteries – I also have four in a battery operated can opener and those seem to last longer for that use. Probably because I use my keyboard a lot.

I bought these because I wanted to get some rechargeable batteries for my wii remotes. The lights on the charger are super bright so don’t charge them while you try to sleep. The charger is a USB so you’ll need a USB block to plug into the wall. They don’t come charged and they took about 5 hours to get to full charge. They didn’t all finish charging at the same time. Otherwise, they work great.
