As a licensed cosmetologist, who does ALL hair services for free, having a reliable but not expensive set of clippers is vitally important. The large clippers are wonderful; I’ve done about a dozen cuts since receiving them, and each “review” (I always ask for their input) has been glowing: no pinching, no pulling, no pain whatsoever; too, they love the end result of their haircuts. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the trimmer seems a bit less than optimal in its performance. I may have to purchase a stronger one. I love that it’s battery-operated for ease of use, but it’s not as strong as needed on a few of my customers.

Both the trimmer and clippers work great. I started cutting my own hair and these clippers do the perfect job when it comes to both shaving, trimming,or fading hair.Only thing I would change about this product is for the trimmer blades to be slightly longer but performance wise it is great. The power on both trimmer and clipper are fantastic and I would highly recommend this product for someone starting to cut their own hair.

Didn’t score battery life because I used only the clipper that has a power cord. That was all I needed. There are a whole lot of attachments for the larger clipper that would obviously be helpful to someone who is cutting hair all over the head – my use is to shave down a thick beard so I don’t use them except for the combs which are very helpful, sturdy and useful. The cape or apron is very large which I like, very thin which I don’t like, and the hook & loop strips on the back are in an awkward place and I found it very difficult to fasten them, and not very well, so that they came apart while I shaved. I’ll have to work on improving my skills with that, or just give up. The blades are very sharp and will stay that way, I’m sure, if the unit is up to the usual Wahl stuff – I had an earlier model for nearly 55 years before the motor gave up. As to the battery powered unit it would be more than great if it came along with a stand so that I could set it upright and take less space. I would use it to fine tune the beard until it was time to use the powered unit. Overall, I’d recommend it for others: maybe a friend or family resident could help fasten that apron.

These work really well and we suspect they’ll last a long time too. All attachments were there and in good condition.
We mainly want to point out that we have an older rechargeable Wahl trimming razor that still works now. Some 8+ years now. A noisy little thing. It’s outlasted a similar model Norelco or Panasonic rechargeable that only worked about 18 months or so. We bought it for something quieter to trim with.
Then, we bought a double ended Panasonic for $70. It has a trimmer on one end and a shaver on the other. One of the worst purchases we’ve ever made. It’s as loud as the older Wahl and the shaver head rattles very badly. Here with this Wahl, look at what you get for the price (ours was ~$50).
There’s a good reason Wahl’s been in business for 100 years. They’re making them quieter and you can’t go wrong with Wahl quality. Ty Wahl.

These clippers worked very well for the first 4 years. I give a haircut every month. In the last year they have started making a lot of noise. I oil them each time I use them and clean the blades. Today after I used them the loud noise is back. I oiled them, cleaned them and still have the noise. It appears that the plastic parts are worn out and the blades stopped moving. Any help would be appreciated. I want to hear from the seller. It has been a few days since I first posted this and have heard nothing.
