Short and to the Point Review:
Love these batteries. Never let me down. Best rechargeables I’ve used.

    Long and Rambling Review:
From the 1970’s to about the early 2000’s, most rechargeables were crap. And expensive. Didn’t matter if they were for small electronics or professional power tools, didn’t hold a charge for long and expired way before they should have. I used to recharge regular batteries (a big no-no) when I was a kid in the 60’s with a unit from Radio Shack and had as good luck as these older rechargeables. I gave up on any rechargeables for a few years and then decided to try again as I got tired of purchasing regular batteries all the time as more and more electronics demanded batteries.

Bought my first Energizer Rechargeables in 2014. They are still working. Yes, I know the battery chemistry has changed over the years and it was about time. I Sharpie all my batteries with the date I put them into service and most of the 2014 units recharge and function. Only 2 died recently of the first batch I purchased. They really do last 10 years.

I have purchased several new devices in the last few years that require AA’s including two Zoom field recorders. I initially purchased Panasonic eneloop Pro batteries because of their high capacity. They work flawlessly but are on the expensive side.

Because of the longevity of the Energizers, I purchased a new set. Their capacity is almost the same as Panasonic’s, but I know the Bunny will last a long time. The AAA’s have lasted as long as the AA’s. I also have had good luck with the Rayovac Rechargables and still have working units from 2014.

One note to consider. All these batteries are 1.2v, which work fine in most devices. The Zoom recorders allow you to define which type of batteries you are using to help determine when they need to be recharged or replaced. Some older electronic devices will not function correctly and need 1.5v batteries. If you have a problem with your older device, it’s probably not these batteries.

  2. Please try a different name

I use these mostly for Wii controllers, the controllers absolutely drain any batteries so having these is very nice. I dont need to keep worrying about buying more batteries, just charging these from time to time. Definitely a worth while investment.

Worst rechargable battery ever. Have 2 sets for a night light. Try to keep a charged set for replacement. By the time the the light needs new recharged batteries, the charged set that have been sitting on the shelf, have to be recharged again before use. They go dead just sitting there doing nothing. These units defeat the purpose of having backup batteries.

Once I bought a pack of these rechargeable batteries and one of those charging packs, I haven’t bought batteries since. They last a surprisingly long time and charge quickly and easily. Love these things.

As usual high quality, nice price. They do work, still going back to them every time I buy new ones, it’s not because they stop working. It’s because I lose them before they go bad. Take care of them, they are amazing.

These rechargeable batteries are made well, they fit battery compartments perfectly. Others seemed to be more “chunky” and hard to insert or remove from battery compartments. These fit good and hold a charge longer than others too. I do use a different charger than the name brand but I will continue to buy these for the little extra cost they’re worth it. Less hassle and frustration.

I’ve used Energizer rechargable for over 10+ years. The batteries have evolved a little, increasing the mAhr output over the years. For me energizer is a trustworthy brand. My “charger” is also quite old. I think it works great. In fact, I do not see a similar rapid charger for sale these days. Perhaps I’m fortunate.

    Pros:
    – name brand
    – quality
    – great for home electronics, remotes, Wii, game controllers, etc
    – quick recharge if you have the correct charger

    Cons:
    – slow recharge with the slower charger
    – a little on the pricey side to start with. But over time you break even

Suggestion: do not mix and match newer rechargeable with the old. I personally feel it leads to more recharge cycles on the newer. so I always mark my batteries and try to use old with old and new with new. When the charger flashes red for a battery, then its life it done and I recycle it

This works extremely well. It’s very convenient to charge those rechargeable batteries instead of wasting money on non-rechargeable batteries. I feel like it does take a while to charge all four, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big big deal plugged in walk away come back when it’s green and you’re good to go. They work great and we’re really happy with it.
