I used this receiver to connect to a TV I built into a table and control with a laptop. The cords were everywhere and at one point the laptop was pulled onto the floor when someone tripped on the HDMI cable.
So, I ordered this. I was looking for something that specifically worked with 4k, which this does. It works great, most of the time. I do occasionally have to unplug it from the laptop and plug it back in as the c-port stops working but that could be the laptop or (most likely) the c-port extender that I have it plugged into. Also a quick fix, so even if it is the product, it is not a deal breaker.
Overall, the set up was easy, very much plug and play.
Excellent product and good price point.

This works well as a wireless HDMI cable. Any HDMI source can be connected to the transmitter, then any HD TV/monitor or projector with HDMi port can display the source with the receiver connected to the HDMI input. A perfect wireless HDMI cable without having to hide 160 feet of HDMI cable across the room.
For gaming, one can connect to a big screen TV or projected on the Wall with a projector. The picture quality is excellent in real time, without any lag in video.
A movie player can be connected wirelessly then one could watch a movie on an big screen TV or projected on the wall, the picture clarity is excellent, with no issues.
With the transmitter plugged into the computer, there is no issues with all paid subscription services, all display with excellent picture quality. It will also work with any streaming console.
It is possible to Mirror an Android or IOS phone with 2G5 or 5G WI-FI. Once the Receiver HOTSPOT is connected to the phone, then in Android using Smartview and IOS using Screen Mirroring. There is a blank screen mirroring subscription paid services, due to a function of the phone’s operating system, not the receiver. The phone mirroring is with excellent picture quality.
As an 1080P wireless HDMI cable, I connected the transmitter to a player from one room then in a far room about 110 feet away, between 2 walls, connected the receiver, to an HD TV, played a movie, 90 minutes of continuous playing there is no visual buffering or synchronization problems with the audio, the movie played to the end producing excellent picture quality.
I recommend this for its picture quality and the many uses, with endless possibilities.

We stream our family pictures from a Surface Pro 3 to our television. After years of having an HDMI cable strung across the living room, in order to get rid of that cable and because of the stellar reviews it received, I decided to purchase this AIMBIO transmitter and receiver.
The instructions were simple and it ‘just worked’ straight out of the box. For two weeks we enjoyed not having the HDMI cable strung across the living room while this product wirelessly displayed our pictures. After two weeks the receiver began showing the setup screen rather than the pictures from the PC. We power cycled, repaired, reenumerated, and followed all directions online many many times. The product would work for a half hour or so and then go back to showing the setup screen on the TV.
I tried to return it on Amazon, but waited too long, as Amazon said that the return window had closed. I registered an account on amibio.tv to try to return it through the manufacturer. When I entered my warranty information per the website’s instructions, it told “We can’t find your order ID.” I had copy’n pasted the order ID directly from Amazon’s site. When that didn’t work, I sent all of my information to Aimibo via their Contact Us link on their website. That was a week ago and I have heard nothing back.
From the stellar reviews this thing gets I can only assume that I got a dud (things happen). I do wish that Aimibo would make it possible to their customers to get help through some kind of customer service.
UPDATE: My review prompted an email from the manufacturer with an offer for refund or replacement. They also made a few suggestions on getting the unit to work. Turns out that the USB port on the laptop did not provide enough power for the transmitter to work properly. Using a phone charger to power the transmitter now and the unit is working perfectly!

Teníamos problemas de conexión en la oficina a través de un cable HDMI de 20 metros a un proyector y este adaptador inalámbrico HDMI solucionó todos los inconvenientes. El único inconveniente que tiene es que no trae adaptador de HDMI a USB C para conectar computadoras Macbook.

Funcionó mucho mejor de lo que pensé. Funciona tal cual como un Chromecast, puedo incluso desde mi celular conectarlo y transmitir súper fácil y fluido.
