I got this for my toddlers room. We have the AC on but sometimes we just need that extra wind. It’s small enough where it fits in their nightstand. I like that it comes with a remote and the level one is perfect to circulate the air a bit. It’s great for small rooms and it really is nice a quiet.

It’s working very well in a half bath that always seemed a bit stuffy and warm during the summer. It takes up a small amount of space and it works efficiently, oscillating to keep the room cooler. I have it on a low-medium setting at it puts out enough air while still running quietly.

De día lo ponemos junto al sillón donde vemos la TV.
De noche lo ponemos junto a nuestra cama y a la velocidad 1 para tener poquita brisa.
Una maravilla de aparatito !!!

I love this fan! While it does oscillate, I usually use it in a fixed position on my desk. There are 8 fan settings. Levels 1-5 are very quiet. Levels 6-8 obviously has more noise, but it’s still less than other fans I’ve tried. The remote is nice when the fan is just out of my reach. Great fan. Good price. Well made.

I bought this fan 3 months ago, and from the start this fan was not quiet. The noises have only gotten worse. If you want the tower fan to be quiet, you have to lay it on its side, otherwise the neighbors will complain about the rattling and clanking noise of my fan! Just buy the Dyson.
UPDATE: I reached out to the manufacturer and was told by the Dr Prepare Customer Service Team that the fan noise is due to a “swinging head problem”. This is mechanical in nature. However since the fan was purchased on Amazon, they will not refund or replace the fan. So again…don’t buy this fan, but not just because it’s faulty, don’t buy this fan because they do not warranty their own products.

Previously I had 2 identical $39.00 desktop fans with a remote. On the first one, the remote died within 2 months. So I ordered a new fan, but when I got it, it was the same as the one that died. I mis-purchased. The remote on that one died within one month. Well, I have to admit it. I am a cheapskate. I bought the cheapest desktop fan with remote that I could find. There was another one close in price, $4.00 more, but, the name was Doctor Prepare. Tell me, would you buy a fan with a name like that? So this time I bought one. What a difference. It has 8 speeds. It has 8 hours of timing. The fan is much more quiet. The case is much more substantial. It is made of heavy duty plastic. There is almost no vibration. It is much better than the mere $4.00 difference. But, the name. Dr. Prepare. Really? Would you buy a fan with that name? Well if you like my review, don’t be afraid based on the stupid name.

This is a very quiet, standing, fan. I thought it would have cooling air conditioning. No problem, it sits on top of ac vent now. Works fabulous. Has 6 levels of speed, oscillating, remote controlled. Seems well built.

Finalement après plusieurs achats, c’est la première fois que je reçois un ventilateur avec un mode “Silence” qui fonctionne à merveille même au niveau 2. Je n’hésiterais pas à le recommander et à m’en procurer un deuxième.

I’ve only had this fan for a couple weeks, but it has been running on high setting 24/7 the entire time without the oscillation. So far (🤞), no noises or issues with functionality. It does provide a little background sound (like a fan will do) but it’s not out of the ordinary/excessively loud. It’s used in a respectably-sized bedroom, not overly large, but roomy, with a second fan on the other side of the room to create circular air flow while the AC is out.
It’s July and hot in the south and although fans don’t cool the air like AC, I’m not sweltering with this set up. One is set higher than the other as this one isn’t very tall, but also doesn’t need a large surface space either.
This would be a nice fan for a small office space or smaller bedroom alone with AC. You do need to point the remote directly at the LED readout (not from the side) for it to respond, but that isn’t odd. The remote came with a battery installed; I can’t speak to the longevity of the battery provided yet. The LED readout is a little bright (white not blue) but isn’t a problem for me as it isn’t right next to my face. If used on a bedside table it might be bothersome to some if facing the bed. It lights up, but it doesn’t “project” a lot of light.
Speed tests from approx 6′ away:
Setting 1 is hardly audible, but useless unless you are right next to it; air flow is miniscule at 6′.
Setting 2 isn’t much different from 1, but might be fine sitting at a desk with this by your feet or on the desk for slight air movement. Still extremely quiet.
Setting 3 still quite quiet with a light breeze close up
Setting 4 start to hear the fan, light breeze close up
Setting 5 starts to sound like a fan is actually running and begins to put out air flow many other small fans might on low.
Setting 6 slightly higher than 5 in sound and air flow.
Setting 7 a bit louder than 6, as some small fans might sound on medium or high with air flow felt 6′ away.
Setting 8, sound gets louder, but quieter than some fans on medium with a definite breeze 6′ away. It won’t blow you over, but this isn’t a shop fan either. With AC, this should provide air flow in a small room without another fan, or cooling effect up close by the bed or on a desk.
With 8 levels, oscillation, REMOTE, & small footprint, if this unit lasts a while it will be worth the $40 price tag. However, if you need a lot of air flow across the room, a large fan (Vornado) or multiple small fans (I also have a stationary 8 or 10″ by this maker for $20) would be recommended. A small fan isn’t going to do the work of a large fan, but this one does a pretty good job for it’s size. The few small fans with remotes are more expensive. The big test is how long will it last. With my continual use, if it lasts thru the end of the summer on high I’ll consider it a good buy for the price. I’ve had other less expensive small fans that worked great but did not oscillate or tilt (stationary) and certainty didn’t come with a remote… or a strange name! Lol
If it quits working in a short amount of time, I’ll update my review.

small but powerful fan that is relatively quiet. The only downside, the remote doesn’t work reliably .
