I have an older version of these I’ve been using for about fifteen years or more. When my son’s sound machine AC adapter broke, we started using these instead. We have used them for 10 hours a night, and charged them every day for at least four years—so about 1500 charges, on top of the 11 years they’d already been used. They are only now beginning to show signs of decline, not quite making it through the night.

The only reason I took a star off is that when I bought the newer ones, they are slightly larger and don’t always fit inside toy battery compartments, etc. Some also don’t seem to charge well. But I may need to replace the charger with a newer one too, so we’ll see about that. All in all, save yourself a ton of money and go with these.

You do not need to use Duracell brand in this. AA & AAA work in this. This charges efficiently. I have Duracell, EverReadry, Amazon, and Rayovac rechargeables. All charge on this (BUT MY EXPERIENCE with AMAZON rechargeables is avoid! They overheat both my chargers & batteries do not hold much juice)
