The HS Drone is an excellent drone for the novice. It has excellent features depicted on the Holy Stone and Amazon web sites. it is very “User Friendly”, with long flight time (~20 minutes per battery). It comes very welll packaged in a sturdy carrying case. It gives the consumer an excellent starter drone at a great price point. I highly recommend the HS260 drone to a prospective buyer, as it has excellent features at a great price point!
4/19/22 Update: I had a “HS260 Drone malfunction, flew away and got lost” incident and e-mailed USA HolyStone Customer Service…Cherry, HolyStone Customer Service representative requested some information and proposed a “New HS260 Drone Replacement, at no cost and no return of anything”. I accepted and provided detailed circumstances of the incident…She then put in a gratuitous new drone application…I give Cherry and HolyStone Customer Service “5Stars” for the prompt, professional, excellent customer service that they provided concerning this incident!!!

This is my first drone, and the most important for me at this stage was the flight time. I wonted to learn to pilot well as quick as possible before upgrading.
The drone is good, hovers and maintains position pretty well, even if I black tape the gravity sensor, that helps in some situations. It is pretty light, comes with 2 batteries (~15min of flight each), propellers guards, accessories, good camera, great responding controller and fancy case.
So far had handled all crashes (and they were quite a lot) very well.
Overall, I’m quite happy and seriously considering writing Santa for an HS720 GPS RTH Ho-ho-ho!!! ;D
    Cheers!
    Thank you Holy Stone. 👍🏼

This is a quite reasonable quadcopter for the price tag of $150 AUD. It has a top speed of 5 km/h (3.1 mph) and has a range of, like 4 metres(13 feet). It can take a while to get used to the handling, but once you got it, fly to your destiny. As it says on the title of the product, it has a 1080P HD adjustable camera that can go 90 degrees. The optical flow works and it’s battery life is about 20 mins, similar of that to the Dji Inspire. Overall, I think this is a really good quality camera drone which is not like the one that you would find in target.

Honest review and I’m flying this guy for a year!
    * A decent drone for the price
    * This drone is a great start if you want to learn flying a drone
    * Easy to fly but not in a windy environment so take note
    * Battery life is like other beginners drone but you can fly it longer by just using controller not activating the wifi thing with its app but worry not cause it has extra battery.
    * Camera and video are not so great but that is expected.
    * I can say that this drone is durable!

I got my HS260 today and even though there were constant 15-20 MPH winds, I quickly ventured outside for a test flight. Since it weighs in at only 140 grams (about 5 oz) I had some reservations, but using the high speed mode and keeping the drone at an altitude under 15 feet I was able to control it and all I can say is “it was a blast” flying it.

The things I like most are:
    1. 2 batteries are included with a reported flight time of 15 minutes per battery.
    2. Fast battery recharge time of about one hour.
    3. Propeller guards are included.
    4. You can fly this drone using only the transmitter. No smart phone required unless you want to take pictures.
    5. It has headless mode for easy flying.
    6. It doesn’t have GPS so you’re up in the air much quicker.
    7. Great price and build quality.
    8. Great customer service.

I think Holy Stone’s lineup of beginner drones (HS260, HS280, and HS440) are all great products at a great entry price. Each may have a feature or two that the other ones don’t, so you’ll want to do a little research to determine which one best suits your taste.

I did have problems at first pairing the drone but customer support is excellent. This a great drone to practice with, if you new to drones and want to get piloting hours. This is a non GPS drone , so it will rely on you to guide it. Nice camera. Do not fly this drone beyond the manuals distance recommendation as because non GPS will not return to you. Fly safe and responsibly.

    1. With android, every time you want to use it you have to connect to another holystone_xxxx network and make sure it is completely connected. There is no easy way to tell it is connected. Start the app, it might or might not decide to work and see the drone. The app doesn’t seem to have any clear indicator of connection, or retry or troubleshooting, just shows a blank screen.

    2. On mine, you can start the drone, and then connect the controller. Then start wireless on your phone and connect that. At that point, your controller will have lost connection. You’ll then need to reboot at least the controller to get that connected. Sometimes, you’ll have to reboot the drone, and then you have reconnect to the network again because it has changed name, and you get into a vicious cycle of reboots and reconnections that is extremely painful.

    3. The drone’s flight algorithm is pretty poor and frequently tries to fly for you and does so poorly. That’s sometimes ok in a big open area, but almost never ok when you’re in close to anything. It tries to readjust itself to wind drift or elevation changes and can make some bad mistakes. In a headwind, mine seems to constantly try to level itself, and will fight tilting into the wind even if you give it solid forward stick. Often creates a situation where it can’t seem to get away from the ground.

We got this for my sons ninth birthday. He’s a little young for the drone, but he knows how to fly it quite well. It seems to fly decently. It is pretty easy to control. It is really light so it Has to be pretty calm to fly it. It does tend to wander in hover mode. We are still learning how to fly it, so I haven’t got any really good pictures yet. I think the batteries last about 20 minutes at most. All in all nice inexpensive drone to learn on.

I have had other drones and have looked at holly stone drones before but could not afford one but when I found them on line at a very reasonable price I bought one. And they are a lot easier to fly than any other drones I have but of they are of a higher guality, the battery last a guite a while and they don’t take less than an hour to recharge,my flight time is about 22 minutes per battery and that is about twice as long as any of other batteries. I love all the features this drone has and I feel sure that is one of the reasons it flies so good and easy. The only thing I have found so far that would be on the negative side is it does not fly very good in wind 2or3miles per hour according to my weather station. But that does in no way makes it a bad drone, I would still rate very good and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a drone. If I had known the quality was this good I would have tried to get one sooner.
