I recently upgraded my gaming rig with the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This power supply is an absolute beast, and here’s why I’m giving it a 5-star review:

Reliable Power Delivery: The 80 Plus Gold certification ensures high efficiency and stable power delivery to all my components. I’ve never experienced any power-related issues since installing it.

Silent Operation: The power supply operates almost silently, even under heavy gaming loads. It’s a night-and-day difference compared to my old PSU, and it keeps my setup nice and quiet.

Full Modular Design: The full modular design is a game-changer for cable management. I only connect the cables I need, reducing clutter and improving airflow inside my case. This is a boon for anyone obsessed with aesthetics.

Ample Power: With a 1000W capacity, this power supply easily handles my high-end GPU and CPU. I have room for future upgrades without worrying about power constraints.

Stylish Aesthetics: The design of the power supply complements my gaming setup perfectly. The MSI logo and the overall build quality are top-notch.

PCIe 5 Support: Being PCIe 5 compatible is a forward-thinking feature. While I don’t have a PCIe 5 motherboard yet, I appreciate that this power supply is ready for future technology.

ATX 3.0 Compliance: The ATX 3.0 specification ensures compatibility with modern motherboards, and I had no issues with installation.

In conclusion, the MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5 Gaming Power Supply is a fantastic addition to any gaming rig. It combines top-tier performance, quiet operation, and a sleek design. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the peace of mind and reliability it offers make it worth every penny. If you’re serious about your gaming setup, this power supply should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

The MSI MPG A1000G PCIE 5.0, 80+ Gold Full Modular Gaming PSU is a high-performance power supply unit designed to meet the demands of high-end gaming rigs, especially those equipped with the latest GPUs like the RTX 4080 and 4090. Awarding it a commendable 4 out of 5 stars, let’s delve into the specifics that make it stand out, as well as areas that could see improvement.

Performance and Compatibility: The 1000W output is more than capable of supporting the most power-hungry components, making it a perfect match for gamers and professionals looking to build a top-tier system. The inclusion of a 12VHPWR cable and compatibility with ATX 3.0 standards ensures it’s ready for next-gen graphics cards, future-proofing your setup.

Efficiency and Reliability: With an 80+ Gold efficiency rating, the MPG A1000G is designed to deliver clean and reliable power while maintaining high energy efficiency. This not only helps in reducing electricity costs but also ensures less heat generation. The use of 100% Japanese 105°C capacitors speaks volumes about its build quality and reliability, promising longevity and stable performance under heavy loads.

Design and Modularity: The full modular design is a significant plus, allowing for a clean and organized build by using only the cables you need. This feature enhances airflow within the chassis and makes the setup process smoother and more aesthetically pleasing. Its compact size is also noteworthy, accommodating even mid-sized cases without compromising on power.

Noise Level: One of the standout features is its quiet operation. Even under considerable load, the PSU maintains a low noise level, thanks to a well-designed cooling system. This is particularly important for users who prioritize a silent working or gaming environment.

Considerations: While the MSI MPG A1000G excels in many areas, the premium price point may be a consideration for some. Additionally, while it supports the latest technology, ensuring your components are compatible is crucial, as the cutting-edge features may not be fully utilized in older systems.

Overall: The MSI MPG A1000G PCIE 5.0 PSU is an excellent choice for anyone building a high-end PC setup. Its robust power output, future-proof features, and reliable performance justify its rating. The high efficiency, coupled with the quality of components, makes it a solid investment for serious gamers and professionals. While the cost may be on the higher side, the value it brings to a modern, powerful PC build cannot be overstated.

Why do I say it looks great, you might ask? Well, because it is modular. I only need to have the cables I need and I don’t have to hide all the excess. That makes this a great PSU for any clean build.

mi setup con un i713th y 3080 se apagaba al iniciar juegos cambiar a esta fuente ayudo a solucionarlo.
solved i713th and 3080 setup shutdown problems while gaming. my computer was shutting down when starting a 3D game. the problem maybe was a power spyke from the gpu. this atx 3.0 psu comes with 2 special cables for gpus, one is suitable for rtx 30xx series and another one for 40xx series. if youre experiencing shutdowns and you dont have an atx 3.0 psu this may be the solution

The modularity makes this PSU very convenient and I don’t know how I would have wired up my PC if I had like 20 cables that I didn’t need just sitting in the back. Also, the cable quality of the included cables is great; they come with a little bag that you can put the extras into and are decently flexible but not super loose to the point that they just sag (especially important with the GPU cable). You could also buy custom cables but these work just fine. I don’t know the stability of the power delivery of this psu but I haven’t had a single issue with it so far, so I never really bothered to check. One thing to note, it’s a pretty tight fit for my case but I’m pretty sure that’s the case’s fault and not the psu’s, so just make sure it’s compatible with the psu slot in your case. (mine is dual-chambered so it had to fit vertically). Overall great PSU, would recommend it.

The PCIe Gen 5 connector ensures efficient power delivery to my high-end components, providing stability even during intense gaming sessions. What impressed me the most is its premium build quality and silent operation, which keeps my system running smoothly without any distractions. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or a power user, the MPG A1000G is a solid investment that will undoubtedly elevate your gaming experience. Highly recommended as this is my third one purchased for different builds.

If you are courting a system with overclocked DDR5 and 200-225 watt video card, you’ll love this PSU. A few days later I bought an “A850GL” and it got confusing to me how the models are different (A850GL vs A850G). MSI doesn’t do a very good job of explaining the two units, I think it has to do with capacitor construction or sourcing internal components. In any case, these are 80 plus gold and rated single rail. Use only the cables you need with modular cables, but know there is an 12VHPWR plug so you don’t need the splitter adapter in the Nidia box! The cable can draw up to 600 watts (don’t do it tho ). It directly plugs into the card with a yellow plastic male pins. This is so you know if yellow is showing you need to press harder. The fan is quiet and no problems.

This PSU works well, but I had to swap out every cable to the ones that came with the power supply. When trying to use my old wire setup it wouldn’t work. I’m not sure why, but the new cables work!

It smells like cow poop though. Like busting open the box and it smells exactly like a cow farm. I know what cow poop smells like because I grew up near cow farms in Indiana. I couldn’t find any other people online saying this lmao. Perhaps mine was packaged near a cow processing plant and the air got contained into the shrink wrap.

4 stars for weird, mandatory, flat cables and the initial cow doodoo smells lmao

I got this for the new 4090 I got. It runs really quiet and there’s a neat switch to turn off the fan completely. It also has a 12 pin connector. The compact size makes it easier to do cable management as well.

These power supplies are top notch and a great upgrade over my old semi modular set up. The single gpu graphics connection 12v2x6 makes things easy and for a clean set up, if you decide to use it. 850 watts is perfect for my 7800xt gpu and ryzen 7 7700x . The modular flat cables def help with keeping things clutter free. Power supply stays cool and silent with a 0 rpm mode which can be turned off.

The overall size of the unit itself is very compact and light weight compared to some others units. There no rub or lights on this unit , but does have a very sleek silver MPG design on the side. Looks cool in the case. Great purchase.
