I still have my original Sega console with 32x & DVD drive but after 30 years of service I decided to get a spare console just in case. They’re getting harder to find & more expensive now. It doesn’t hurt to have a little backup.

Let’s get the the obvious positives out of the way –
This console works. It’s a 30-year-old console and it plays as expected. That’s wonderful.
I just wish that the post came with more pictures, because unless you dig around you won’t know exactly what it comes with.
For the record, for me it came with a brand-new third-party AC adapter, brand-new third-party AV/RCA cable, an original Sega Genesis 2 and what seems like an original Sega Genesis 2 controller.
In my case, the console didn’t have any damage but definitely some wear and tear. For example, it seemed the reset button on the console was a little loose.
Same goes for the controller, where the d-pad was a bit loose and the buttons felt a little worn out.
I will say it falls in the realm of reasonable for such an old console, but I wish that this was written plainly.

I was extremely hesitant to purchase. However, was pleased with the packaging quality and how nicely everything was protected during shipping.
The pros – clean system, fully functional and cosmetically looks nice. My 1200 In 1 V3 Pro Game Cartridge works well with the system so there have been no issues running games.
The cons – AV output cord does not easily fit into back of system and does not feel completely secured. It took a while in getting the cord inserted correctly. You only get a 3-button controller with this system so of course I had to order a new 6 button. Controller that comes with system feels very worn but that isn’t a huge issue as I will just replace it.
For the money, not a bad purchase but could have been slightly better.

I received my vintage console in good condition and was very happy! Many classic games are still available on the cartridges, so I found a few of my favs online. I also know there’s a few different multi-game cartridges and have a 198 Games on one.
This was a good purchase, and I absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes older, vintage or classic video games.

I needed a replacement for my 29-year-old Sega Genesis console which I recently discovered doesn’t turn on anymore, so I got this. It has no trouble reading any of my games, even the ones that I thought were broken…turns out my dying console just wasn’t able to run most of my games anymore (though I’m pretty sure my Ms. Pac-Man cart really is toast).
It runs my games. It turns on without a fight (except when I try to play the aforementioned Ms. Pac-Man). It’s also compatible with my current TV, which my old console wasn’t, which means I don’t need to keep that old TV from the 80’s anymore to play my games. If I have to pick a downside, it’s that it doesn’t come with 6-button controllers, and my old console’s controllers don’t work anymore, so I still can’t play Mortal Kombat.

The console does turn on and displays the game. The port for controller one does not allow the directional pad to move up. I tried several controllers including a new one. All controllers work on port two. I opened the console to clean out and re-solder the pins on port one and found two dried out roaches, rust and previous water damage. At this point all I can do is just laugh. You dirty MFS lol… wish I could post the pics. On the up side it was delivered ahead of time.
