The media could not be loaded.

Let’s get the most important thing out of the way first: it’s authentic Sega games, not cheap clones.

Second: if you’re looking for some of the shinier gems like Zombies Ate My Neighbors or Sword Of Vermilion, prepare to be disappointed.
The selection is basically identical to the Sega Classics Collection you might download on Xbox or PS. Just with a few obscure extras like Shadow Dancer and Arrow Flash. Oh and you get a bunch of very forgettable arcade titles from Sega, such as…Fish Tank Live? Dominant Amber?

As for eye-catchers you might be looking for: you do get access to the first three Mortal Kombats if you’re into that. And of all things, a friggin’ Virtua Fighter (2) game! There are of course a handful of Sonic games, obviously. And the Golden Axe trilogy. And a couple Phantasy Star games. Assuming Amazon approved it, I uploaded a video showing every game offered.

The handheld itself weighs nothing. It’s light and comfortable to use. All game options (starting and ending, specifically) are handled with Start and Menu. Start to… well, obvious, and Menu to reverse that decision and… obvious.

Sound quality is as good as you might expect. Visuals are roughly on par with the full size console equivalent (Flicky, for example, looks the same. Just more compressed to fit the small screen here.)

Comes with a charger and holds a charge for at least a couple hours. I never bothered to test the full life of a single charge. It could last for 4 hours. Or 6. Or only 2.

Most of the buttons are useless except for games like Comix Zone. You’ll primarily be mashing A and B and maybe C occasionally.

I gave this product 4 stars because it at least had Chakan: The Forever Man, even though it didn’t have any other games I was specifically looking for. Chakan isn’t in any of the console-specific Sega Collections.

My autistic son loves Sonic the Hedgehog. We just drove from Florida to Idaho and it kept him entertained
