Just got the system. Plugged in the A/V cable into the back of the Sega and plugged in the rear cable into the A/V jacks in the back of my LCD TV. THERE IS NOW PICTURE. Hooked it up to another TV and the picture is scrambled.
Update: So I I found out that HD
LCD TVs have issues with the signal/resolution of the Sega Genesis 1. I ordered an upscaler/svideo to HDMI cable. Now it has a beautiful picture that fills the whole screen.

I love classic game consoles, it reminds me of my childhood mainly. This is a must have for any retro game collector, or hobbyist. My only issue was the controller I received had a worn down circuit board on the “B” button. Unfortunately this is one of the most used buttons in many of the games I play. It often doesn’t read a press, but overall it works quite well and I can still play and enjoy games despite this. For it being an original controller it’s expected to have a few minor issues so I expected this going in. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

Bought this console, hooked it up, put in Light Crusader, and noticed a message popping up right before it got to the title screen.
“BACKUP-RAM initialized.”
Never have seen this on the Retron 5 before, but thought nothing of it.
All of the save files are completely corrupted, and there’s no way for me to delete them.
This review is not 1 star because if there’s any way in where I can get some help on this issue and resolve it then it wouldn’t be an extreme waste of 70 bucks

The product was not certified, because it was very damaged when I received it. The color was a disaster and the picture was not focused. I tried everything and I came to the conclusion that the unit is color damaged
