It can’t get easier than this. All it took for this adapter to work was plug it in and start the box. Worked at once.

I bought this to improve the performance of the machine that uses the raspberry pi operating system. The Wi-Fi dongle that came with it is really not great. The manufacturer suggested that I get an antenna Wi-Fi dongle. The advertising blurb for this particular device said that it worked with raspberry pi. However, the package doesn’t mention it. It screwed up the performance of the machine, and the Wi-Fi reception was even worse than it was with the original manufacturer Wi-Fi dongle.
Maybe a very expensive dongle would do the trick, but I have no idea. it’s way out of my area of expertise. However, this supposedly had the right Wi-Fi protocol and the right chipset to work with my device. But it did not, and as I say, the pack did not indicate that it works with raspberry pi.
So, if you want to buy it, do so, but be ready to return it. That’s what I’m doing today.

This didn’t last very long at all and started cutting in and out before not working at all. After it warms up a little Windows starts thinking I am removing and reinserting this USB device. I bought two adapters at the same time to test and the other adapter that I purchased in the same price range is still working.

This wifi adapter works great with Oppo BDP-103. You do not have to buy the original wifi adapter sold by crooks with over $70. In fact, any adapter that uses the chipset RT5370 works with Oppo BDP-103. So, buy with confidence if you have this blu ray player and lost the wifi adapter.
Update
Just bought another one and was sent a different item that does not work with oppo. The item looks similar but the package was quite different. Hope they will bring the original back.
