Previously owned a OnePlus 7T phone, but it ended up at the bottom of a lake. Unfortunately, OnePlus has discontinued the 7T, so I bought this through a third-party seller. It was brand new, in an unopened box, and works wonderfully. Dual SIM card functionality is necessary as I travel a lot and need easy access to two separate providers. The phone is a nice phone, good camera, with the features I need. Too bad OnePlus discontinued this phone. Unfortunately, the OnePlus 8 series phones don’t currently have dual SIM card functionality. Glad I was able to find another, and this time I bought a water-proof case so hopefully it won’t end up at the bottom of a lake.

So far more disappointed than happy.
After few months of using OnePlus 7T and about the same time on the Pixel 4XL (coming from 2XL, 3XL and tested 3a XL), if my Pixel 4XL had a fingerprint it’ll be a perfect phone for my needs.
I was skeptical to start due to the numerous display panel issue I read about it, the lack of security on previous models, but I wanted to takes a chance because of the reviews.
If I could trade it in, I would in a heartbeat. Right now, I must say I will not give OnePlus a second chance.

    CONS over three months:
Slow boot time compare to Pixel 4XL thought better processor, memory and specs for the storage.
Requires reboots more than other devices.
Cannot Check-A-Ticket on the California Lottery using the app and the camera.
Default mail app cannot be changed from the “outlook”.
Fingerprint works about 60% of the times.
Have a calendar widget “smooth calendar” that displays my next 9 upcoming appointments. When I click the date, it should open the default calendar app (which is Google Calendar). On my Pixel it works fine, on the OP7T it requires a reboot because nothing happens.
Same thing for the weather widget app. I click the time it should open the clock. Click the click the date the calendar and click the weather the weather app. Same thing, it requires a reboot occasionally because nothing happens.
Sometimes calls are terrible, I cannot here.
Requires reboot because earbuds sometimes are not recognized.
The stock photo apps do not allow for rename of a pick. No big deal, I end up suing another app, but combine all the little things I must deal, it ain’t worth it.
Battery life is better on my 4XL than OP7T. I don’t play games on any of my device.

    Goods:
No issue with display so far.
I love the flat display. I wish there were more companies making flat screen smartphones.

I bought the OnePlus 7T when. It was originally released in Oct 2019. I’ve loved it ever since. Last week through a comedy of misfortunes my phone ended up sitting at the bottom of a 4ft pool for over 30 minutes. Killing at least the screen (I think I’ll be able to fix it). I hate the curve screen on the 8 /8 pro. So I decided to just get the 7T again. The only one I could find anywhere we’re the T-Mobile model. I finally found this listed at about $200 more than the T-Mobile model. I heard horror stories about the T-Mobile model not getting updates so I just decided to get this one. I was worried I’d end up getting an unlocked T-Mobile HD1907 but nope it’s really is a brand new, never opened, fully unlocked HD1905, so I’m very happy. I absolutely love this phone, so much so, I bought it twice.

I’ve had this phone for a month now and I love it! It runs so fast and the camera features are such an added bonus. My absolute favorite thing is the battery life the warp charging! It can be on less than 15% and fully charge in about 45 minutes. Then that battery will last for nearly a day of full use. It amazes me everytime.

EDIT: After the Android 11 update, this phone is basically unusable. OnePlus has gone downhill in the last few years. I would recommend staying away from any of their phones. There is basically no aspect of the phone that isn’t messed up. 3 months after the update and no good fixes.

Before: I’m underwhelmed. The battery life is poor and there is no sd card slot. SD cards make transition to a new phone easy. Pictures, music, books, podcasts are best stored on an SD card because they don’t pose a security threat and can be moved to a new phone by simply moving the card. It’s not just about more space. The battery doesn’t last all day but does charge quickly. Frankly I liked my 3 year old Huawei mate 9 better, but my daughter now loves the mate 9 and doesn’t want to trade. The camera is very good, but not noticably better than the mate 9 which is a very good camera. All in all, not worth the money, but probably a better deal than Samsung flagships if you can live without an SD card.

I regularly travel to India and need a dual phone which works on the GSM network in the US as well as India. This one should the job. It works perfectly on T-mobile and I expect it to work on Vodafone when I travel India next time.
It has been 3-weeks since I started using it. No issues. Battery charges in under one hour. Everything is as described in the product information.
