Square Terminal – Credit Card Machine to Accept All Payments | Mobile POS

Great product. Easy to use. Best for the price

As a business owner, you never want to turn down business just because you can’t take a specific type of payment. This had the ability to take almost all types of payments and prints quality receipts that you can even customize through your account. Rates may be slightly higher with Square than some other payment processors but to get access to similar equipment with similar capabilities with a lot of them, you have to reach a specific revenue level (at least the ones I contacted, everyone wanted to just give me one of those phone attachments that are almost useless in my opinion). This let’s you take most payment types, let’s you customize everything you sell or do, let’s you customize receipts, etc., and you can bring it with you anywhere. It’s great if you do mobile services or sales. I’m really happy with my purchase.

I’ve now received three defective Square Terminals and can’t get decent customer support from Square.

The first Square Terminal that I received would not power on directly out of the box, as it is supposed to according to the instructions that came with it and according to all of the information at Square’s website. So Amazon provided a replacement.

The second Square Terminal that I received had the same problem. So instead of asking Amazon to replace it and incur another loss, I contacted Square. At first, my email was ignored, so I had to phone technical support. The person I spoke with confirmed that the Square Terminal should have powered up directly out of the box and the fact that it didn’t suggested a defective battery. So Square sent me a replacement.

The third Square Terminal that I received powered up fine. But it wouldn’t connect to my iPhone hotspot at an event where there was no internet available. Again, I contacted Square for support. I’ve been emailing back and forth with a person identified only as Robert O who has been increasingly antagonistic and who refuses to refer the matter to his manager.

When I tell Robert O what I’ve tried by way of troubleshooting, he tells me to do exactly the same thing I’ve already done. He keeps trying to blame my iPhone instead of troubleshooting the Square Terminal. My computer can use my iPhone hotspot, so there’s no problem with my iPhone. The problem is with the Square Terminal. Robert O told me to rename my iPhone, heedless of the problems that might cause with other devices that rely on my iPhone’s identity. I told him no. Robert O told me to phone my carrier for support. My carrier has nothing to do with the problem. The problem is with the Square Terminal. Again I asked Robert O to refer the matter to his manager or replace the defective unit. He now refuses to answer my emails.

Perhaps my posting this review will get the higher-ups at Square to provide a solution or a properly operating replacement unit.

This Square terminal has been a fantastic addition to my business. I purchased it a year ago, and it’s been performing flawlessly ever since. The setup was straightforward, and it’s incredibly user-friendly, which makes processing payments quick and efficient.

One of the standout features is its versatility. It accepts all types of payments, including chip, contactless, and magstripe. The built-in receipt printer is a nice touch.

I’ve also been impressed with its durability and reliability. Despite heavy use, there have been no issues with connectivity or performance. The battery life is excellent.

Overall, this terminal has been a valuable investment. Highly recommended for any business looking for a reliable and feature-rich payment solution.
