I have a different SD Card adapter from my mac that works fine, every time.
I opened this out of the packaging and the very first time it doesn’t work. The laptop sees nothing connected. I follow all the standard troubleshooting steps, but still nothing. I therefore cannot read or write to the SD card. When you sort reviews by latest you will see most are 1 star. I guess I understand why now.

I got a new phone, pixel pro 6, and was not having any luck using my older otg adapter to read micro SD cards. Bought this and still no luck reading the card. After some research, I found that the pixel 6 pro had an issue reading these. I downloaded USB Media explorer from the app store and was finally able to read the card.
This adapter works well so if you are having issues with a newer version of Android that you just got, do some research. I went from 10(LG v40) to 12(pixel 6 pro) and there are differences.
I bought two of these. I would recommend.

Does the job and very simple design. However I got a micro SD later so maybe I should have gone for a multi functional adapter

Quality of the product is definitely cheap compared to the apple sd card reader but for the price it does a great job and works as it should.

Works great. Able to transfer photos from my Kodak digital camera’s SD card to my IPhone 15. Works as intended.

It literally doesn’t work at all. I have a Samsung S24 and it wouldn’t work – even after I checked that my phone was otg compatible. It feels flimsy as well and I thought I was going to break my sd card when I slotted it in. Don’t bother!
