I’ve had old old card readers from old old cameras and memory cards, so I bought this one and was pleasantly surprised with the advanced technological, higher bandwidth transmission speeds.
It’s a GEM, and, in my opinion, it was fairly priced for all purposes.

Docked one star due to the high cost compared to equivalent products from other manufacturers. That said, I am willing to bet the construction will last and this will be a longer-term use item. I agree with other reviews that the transfer speed is excellent compared to my old sd card reader and my multipurpose usb-c hub.

I bought this because I keep my Dell XPS desktop on a shelf behind and below my desk. When I’d want to unload SD cards from my cameras, I’d invariably wind up on all fours under the desk to plug them in to the built-in SD card reader. To quote Roger Murtaugh, “I’m too old .”
I have a Dell UltraSharp USB-C monitor, which has a built-in USB-C hub. When I first got this, I plugged it in and transferred a few gigs of photos and videos from a partially-full SD card I had handy. I then did the same transfer, to the same drive, using the built-in SD card reader in the machine. I was honestly shocked that the Anker was almost twice the speed of the built-in reader.
I’ve always trusted Anker. I have their headphones, power banks, USB cables, and wireless charging pads all over my house. And I suppose I wasn’t surprised that this was also a good purchase, but I was surprised just how good it was. Can’t recommend it more highly.

Fastest card I have states up to 120MB/s write and up to 160MB/s read. I actually get that in this reader. I have a couple of good USB 3 readers that max out writes about 80MB/s and reads about 90MB/s so I’m definitely happy with this reader.

I recently bought a new camera that utilizes UHS-II cards and my old reader just wasn’t giving me the benefit of speed for transferring files. I bought this one and it’s worlds apart from the old tech to the high speed cards. I will be getting a 2nd one to use with my laptop when traveling and using the new camera gear. It’s built very solid with a sturdy cable and aluminum housing. No question about it’s quality at all. Top notch Anker product as usual.
