    This DVD player/recorder is a great supplement and way to allow you to hard save information and play older games and things like that. A lot of people don’t use DVDs anymore, but I’m not one of them. I have a lot of DVDs that my new computer wouldn’t play because it didn’t even have a DVD player With it or a port to be able to add one. Unlike my previous PC that came with a DVD player. Regardless, this device works really well, and has allowed me to continue using some of my older programs and games. I highly recommend it!

    Received today; read the instructions and plugged into my desktop…the first audio disc played grest for about 15 seconds…and it stopped! So, I ejected and tried a DVD…then another two audio discs….none of them played, the unit just kept starting & stopping repeatedly.
    Worst purchase of the year😡…will return for refund and try another unit. Don’t waste time or money on this item

    I’d like to say the CD drive works great! I had an old CD with family photos that was barely readable via externalized CD readers from old MacBooks (photos took forever to transfer, would randomly stop due to read issues, and would copy all corrupted), and this device read the disc just fine! I was also able to have two flash drive and an SD card readable at the same time. Lastly, the USB cable can also power the device, so no need to hook up the power connector and chew up an extra USB spot on the computer.
    Some nitpicks though: first, the cable is directly connected to the CD drive, so if that cable fails, the whole device is useless. Second, the SD card sticks out a bit further than I’m comfortable with, even though it’s on the back of the drive (see picture for reference). Lastly, it didn’t seem that I could connect a microSD and regular SD at the same time. Whatever card was inserted first would be read, and not the other. Still giving the product five stars as these issues are highly situational and not a big deal.

    I AM SO ASHAMED THAT I HAD NEVER CONSIDERED HAVING A PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY LIKE THIS BURNER BEFORE. IT HELPS SO MUCH SO THAT I WON’T HAVE TO TAKE MY COMPUTER TO PAY FOR COMPONENTS LIKE THIS BURNER EVER AGAIN. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS “PLUG & PLAY”. SO VERY SIMPLE!!! AS SOON AS I GOT IT FROM THE DELIVERY, I TESTED THE DEVICE TO BURN A MUSIC CD AND A VIDEO DVD… BOTH BURNED PERFECTLY AND WITH VERY LITTLE TIME. SO VERY SMOOTH! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM TO ANYONE WITH A NEED TO MAKE MUSIC CDs OR MOVIE DVDs. I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER. AND, THE SELLER EVEN OFFERS A FREE EXTENDED ONE YEAR WARRENTY WITH PURCHASE OF THE BURNER. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A BURNER FOR YOUR COMPUTER THEN THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO OWN. I ASSURE YOU, YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

    Product did not draw enough power to open disc tray when connected to usb hub. Needed to go directly into computer in order to function. I Made a return because the overall quality seemed relatively poor, so I cannot fully review/recommend this product. However the price is good, and other reviews seem to be good in terms of product functionality. Hope this information is helpful.
