I don’t know when the tech world decided that compact discs were no longer needed, but they forgot to send the memo to a lot of people. It’s been years since I’ve had a laptop that has the built in disc drive and this USB drive is the perfect alternative. On those occasions you do need it, it’s there for you. Need to install software that is only available on a disc? Plug it in. Need to save media externally? Plug it in. Want to move your extensive CD collection to your phone/iPod/whatever so you don’t have to pay for it again for the digital version? PLUG. IT. IN.

My daughter recently purchased some CDs from a music concert and had no way of playing CDs except from the car CD player. This CD player instantly hooked up to her Acer laptop and she was able to listen the CDs through computer speakers or headphones. This device will also allow us to play our older DVDs on our various laptops and allow me to burn back up CDs in addition to having stuff on the cloud.

Even though CD’s and DVD’s are being phased out to the point where they aren’t coming standard on the latest computers and elsewhere, it doesn’t mean that they’ve become irrelevant. There are plenty of instances in need of media to play them, or for storage purposes (as CD/DVD are still quite reliable), these mediums will stick around in the niches for some time. This is handy to have for those with the latest laptops, to help cover those edge cases.

They need to put longer cables on the DVD player how do you recommend you buy A cd/Dvd That cost $20-$30 range faster and easier to use making your music USB sticks
