It’s a little slow, copying from my computer to burn a CD or DVD. The price is right, and it works fine, but not great quality.

This works well— I use it to rip CDs on my Macbook (14” M3 Pro) and haven’t had any issues. It was plug-and-play. I don’t use it too terribly often, but I’ve had it for a few months and it’s still working properly.
The little USB-C adapter that comes with it is a piece of crap, though. It bends and wiggles around really easily, and was already failing within a couple days of purchase. Luckily, I had another little adapter lying around (from an old samsung phone I think), so no biggie.
Basically, the drive works well. But if you need type-C connection, you might have to drop a couple bucks on a separate USB-A to USB-C adapter.

A very portable external USB DVD/CD drive. Plug and Play – it’s that simple!
Great product for the price. Works well for old CDs that have old pictures and documents or just watching DVD movies. Its size makes it easy to pack up and travel, and plug in and have it sit on top of your desktop or nearby. The disk trey, like all disk treys, feels a little flimsily but it is solid – just don’t mistake it for a cup holder!
Runs fairly quiet and fast. Overall, a good external DVD/CD drive and does exactly what it is supposed to do!
Now a days, most PC’s don’t come with a DVD/CD drive built in, this is a great option!

I bought this because of the great reviews but it did not work. I tried making cd’s and dvds on my macbook none of which worked. After trying many different brands of cds and trying to use a couple different programs I gave up on it. Every time I did it , it would say it burned but would fail processing and appear as a blank disk when played. If you are looking for a drive to only watch movies that was the only part that worked.

Wasn’t sure of the quality when we first got it because it’s smaller than any DVD play I’ve ever had. But it sure does give a good picture and is very easy to hook up to our laptop. Quite pleased with this DVD player.

I purchased this product as, after years of use, my internal DVD-write drive had begun glitching and ruining discs during the write process. This new external drive arrived quickly and I am delighted that it immediately worked perfectly without any problems at all! I am running Windows 10 Pro and wasn’t sure how easily it might install. I’m happy to report that it immediately recognized the new drive and began reading and writing seamlessly! This product is lightweight and easy to open and close; the only downside is that the connecting cord is exceedingly short so placement was awkward, although once I affixed the drive to the back of my computer using a zip tie to attach its cord to the power cord, it’s not a problem. Be aware that if the drive is not somehow anchored to your computer, the process of disc ejection when it is finished recording will launch the drive itself so that it hangs by its cord. This was easily remedied, however, by affixing it with a zip tie. A velcro strip affixed between the computer & drive would work well as an alternative also. All in all, this product exceeds my expectations and is a top quality buy for the price!
